EndreWhiteMane: Hello to everyone, doing well here.
Sounds like everyone is at least OK, Stilton I wish you and your daughter the very best.
Agent, hope the headache vanishes soon.
I just skimmed the thread, way too many to catch up on. If I missed anything important please let me know. :-)

Hopefully you're all doing well today.

Stilton: All's good here ;-)

How's that Incredible Machines cataloguing system of yours holding up?

By the way, I've had to chuck out some files from my storage drives to accomodate my recent game bloat and I'm holding you partially responsible. Thanks are due because it was mostly crap, anyway ;-)
It's still rolling along. Now that my sale budget has been used up, I know that I have a certain amount left to retrieve rather than continually adjusting it for new acquisitions.

Now I'm just picking and choosing what I want to play the most as top priority for downloading. Anything to keep the boredom of staring at a crawling downloader at bay.

Well, you managed to organize a bit, that's always good. How much do you have left to download?

Can't complain here, trying to get some coffee in my system so my eyes will work properly.

How's your day going?

LaPtiteBete: Good afternoon, Ghost !!
Glad to read you're doing well :)
Wow, you played a lot of games !! any opinion about Metro Last Light and Saints Row 3 ?
**Big ghostly hug**
<big squishy happy to see you hug>

I'm really trying to get through some of the backlog, and knocking out those games I know I can play through relatively quickly, but it's hard with new releases popping up. I have quite a few "in-play", (installed, started and re-started a few times, waiting for me to get to). heh!

Metro Last Light was interesting, more of a survival shooter adventure, with a touch of (non-scary) horror. The combat action is good, weapons are varied and functional.

You can play it stealthily or go guns blazing. Once the game is finished, it opens up some separate scenarios to play in the world, which I didn't play through but will eventually get to, since I saved the save game files. And... it wasn't overly sexualized like some complaints I've read.

The Story picks up after 2033, and this game makes me want to play that one, though I don't think it necessary to play 2033 first. The story itself is simple, yet reflects the harsh post apocalyptic world the people live in, and I suspect it might have different endings depending on a couple choices we make, so I'll probably play through it again at another time.

You need air filters to survive in outside areas that have limited use time, you can find filters when exploring but the level design is difficult to traverse at times, so if you don't find the filters you will die, The game wants you to explore, to find scattered notes and things like the world's currency, extra ammo and weapons. If you don't explore you will have just enough time on the filters to get through the level. And towards the end, there was a couple battles which I had to figure out specifically how to get through them, which were minor annoyances. Overall, it is a good game.

Saints Row 3 is silly, over the top cartoon-violent and over-sexualized, in bad taste, and ridiculous fun, The combat action is good, the different side missions are varied and the overall story campaign is as over the top as the World that it takes place in.

There is a lot of detail put into the game. Everything is fully voiced, including your character interacting with the world, and not to much cursing, considering all the dialog. I made it through about 90% of the game missions, both endings, and didn't have a problem with any of the vehicles using a controller. ;D

Just Witchers 1 and 2. They're going to be a long haul, which is why I left them until last; they can tick over without me waiting for them to finish so I can download something else. Then its a check through the lot to see if anything's missing and I'm pretty much done. I might fish out some extras for my favourite games, but it'll only be a handful if I do. It feels like approaching retirement after forty straight years of service...

AgentBirdnest: Morning, Ghost! Glad you are well.
Going quite well in my corner, too :-)

Oh no! The dreaded save game deletion... I'm guilty of that on many occasions (and plenty of intentional ones too, that I regretted deleting minutes later ;-)) Hope it was still fun playing through the game again.
...
Howdy Agent! :) Glad to see you happy and well.

I know! I've done that before too, a few times. Once with Assassin Creed, first time playing it, and right when I was at the end of the game, though I liked it enough to start it over right away. Usually if that happens, I figure I played that game enough and moved on. Kingdom Rush is still fun, and now that I know the game better, it is even more fun (yet the later levels are still just as challenging).

My lawn is doing so well this year I thought I'd share a bit.
The laughing part was because of a number of posts earlier that kept me laughing so hard my stomach hurt.
It was supposed to say "Laughing can kill" but that wouldn't fit. :-)
I can't even remember what the posts were now but I'm smiling remembering that 'laugh attack' :-)

Stilton: Hi Ghost, glad all is good with you ;-)

How's the writing going? I haven't read/heard anything for a while. Being a sometime scribe myself I know these things can be personal, so if you cough and change the subject I'll understand ;-)

What do you think of Kingdom Rush? I've got it but haven't tried it yet. (I've given you a possible bail out there...;-))
Greetings Stilton! Glad to hear you are doing well, and I hope that you (and the doctors) can figure out and resolve whatever is ailing your daughter as quickly as possible. ;)

There are quite a few of us who have small and great works, in-the-works. heh!
The writing is coming alone just fine, yet it is slow going, as there is a lot of work to do. Right now I'm working out travel distances and timelines as the Party gets separated in the beginning of the story, and will end up at a specific location within a couple days of each other, after a long and perilous journey...

I don't mind talking about the books, but there is a lot I can't say, which is easy enough to side-step, just don't want to bore my fellow GoGlodytes with the mundane details of crossing Ts and dotting Is... heh!

Kingdom Rush is a gem of a game. The music is really good, adds to the gameplay. The action and level design is good, balanced, challenging yet fair, and the artwork and animations are charming.

If you get a chance, install it and take a test run just to see for yourself. I really like the game, and it was a ninja gift from Moonshineshadow too (thanks again!)! :D
