CarrionCrow: It's got some interesting stuff. The thing is, it's now time to start considering every purchase rather than buzzsawing through them. Two high priority items are left, and they've yet to show up. If I spend the last of my money and they appear, that will be intensely irritating.

Also? Holy shit, my list isn't the biggest anymore. Penumbren has me beat.

Stilton: Yes, my funds are unfortunately finite, and as sorely tempted as I am by several of the games in this latest crop, I have to consider things like eating and not behaving like a headless chicken. 'There's always next time,' is my current mantra, even if it does sound like, 'Get it now you dickhead.' Resolve, man, resolve!

penumbren: ROFL. I don't know if that's a good or a bad thing. Mind you, it's mostly small-priced stuff: Duke Nukem 1+2, Crystal Caves, Star Control 1+2, 3, etc. I have yet to unlock Xenonauts, although I'm sure I will sooner rather than later, good intentions be damned.
avatar
Stilton: That's the attitude I like ;-)
This is where the wish for everything to be presented simultaneously starts rearing its head.
Looking for two more items, will have to wait four days to see if they become available at all.

Also, when you have a moment, feel free to check your chat window. (Need to come up with a better nickname for that.)

CarrionCrow: What's that old line about the road to insensate game overload being paved with good intentions? =)
:D Given that there are two more weeks in this sale, I'm pretty sure that even the occasional $1 or $2 game would tip me over before it ends. (And who says I don't already have game overload?? You've never seen my console game collection. If I ever get it out of boxes again, I'll have to post pictures.)

Silly Iron Man-suited lady, I already figured as much. It's one of the reasons I like you.

*grin* It's a side-effect of being hooked on video/computer games from ~ age 8 onward. (King's Quest and Legend of Zelda, I blame YOU!)
CarrionCrow has just tried to bury me under an avalanche of Ninja-gifts. Its going to take me a while to dig my way out, so in the meantime can you +1 him until his rep sticks out the side of his monitor? Thank you ;-)

I don't remember the exact age, but I do know that I traumatized my mother by way of mocking her mercilessly regarding her utter inability to jump over the first hole in Super Mario Bros.

I still can't do that. That game is evil!

That's because you're playing the wrong version.
What you need to find is called Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels. It's way easier. =)

Will do! Also, hey folks! It's been a long day, but quite a rewarding one. The ladywife and pup are asleep behind me, and I have a feeling I'll be up all night tonight. Trying to decide if I'm more in the mood to play a video game or read a bit. I suppose i can bounce back and forth. :)

I hope you all enjoyed your weekend!

Haha! My grandmother tried to play SMB with me once. When I laughed at her for running into the first goomba, she never picked it up again. (I tried to explain that it's *required* that no one ever warn you about the first one, but she didn't listen.)

Hello there, sorry to hear you don't think you'll sleep tonight.
Is this a common thing?
Bouncing back and forth would probably give your eyes a chance to rest.

It's not a problem, really. I'm either manic or just too energetic at night to sleep fairly often, but it's usually a pretty enjoyable time. I get lots of thinking, reading and game playing done when my brain won't shut off. :)
