EndreWhiteMane: Sorry to hear he's bothering you, it's what us old guys do best. ;)
I know, but don't worry, we still love you for it :-). Even if you do make us want to scream as you try to do things you either can't or are not supposed to be doing. I actually enjoy seeing him still so full of life and eager to do things, I think that is one of the reasons it doesn't really bother me too much when my father is like this.

avatar
EndreWhiteMane: Being overtired and over-stressed will do that. You need to find a way to say heck with the world for a day or two and take some time for yourself. "No one man (woman) is a mountain" as they say. ;)
Sadly that's not an option for me at the moment, way too much work and responsibilities to just drop everything for a day or two. But it's okay, it's nothing I can't handle. We farm girls are made of some tough stuff. :-)

ddickinson: I just remembered you saying you were not in too good a mood recently, I may have remembered wrong. But I am glad you are doing okay.

EndreWhiteMane: [...]

You were pretty bummed out about life issues the other day, hope they're better today.

I see. Things are not better today (too complicated for that), but I'm taking a different approach, which includes to not burden my friends with my shitty mood. ;-D

ddickinson: [...]

Not as cheerful today, sadly, my moods seems to be erratic recently. I'm tired, exhausted, stressed, and my mind is all over the place, which is why I tend to have phases of being happy and then not happy. I don't get sad or depressed or anything like that, just not as cheerful as I normally am. I think I have just had too much on over the Christmas time what with my parents being ill and I need a good rest. Having to do more and more at work isn't helping either, but that can't be helped.

It has stopped me hosting some giveaways though. I tend to get a bit silly or off track when my mind is all over the place like it is now (like a regrettable taxi driver incident, which I wish I had handled better and with cleared mind), so I don't think I would be able to give a giveaway the time it needs. But I will be fine, these are just the things life throws at us.
Sorry to hear that, I can relate, but sadly have no useful advice to offer. :/
If you can follow Endre's suggestion, do it.

I understand you not wanting to share, but you should know that that's what friend are for, to help support you when you are down, and to gift you Fist Puncher to help you feel better. ;-)

I will be okay, as I said, I'm made of strong stuff. :-)

Well I had better try to get some sleep, another early morning for me. Goodnight everyone!

*goodnight hugs* and an extra special *big hug* for Hyper.

Either that or you're still young enough to think the world would stop spinning if you got off for a day or two.
Why do I hear so much a younger me in that sentence? :-)

That's what we all say to ourselves. Just watch out for any sings that may say "girl, you're overdoing it, you need to stop and take a break!". ;-)

Have a good rest.
@ddickinson My best wishes for your parents continuing to recover (rapidly) from their helath issues, and may your brother heal up very soon as well.

ddickinson: That's why I have never tried it, I'm happy just eating good old chicken, turkey, goose, and maybe sometimes pheasant.
Pheasant is awesome. I had it for the first time at a local French bistro a couple years ago, and it is the king of fowl. More succulent than chicken, more flavourful than turkey, it is sublime.

I am glad to hear your parents are doing better! I trust that translates to better times for you too, or such is my hope.

HypersomniacLive: True to an extend - the little grey memory cells are not infinite. ;-)
Is that you, Poirot? :D

I have no idea what you're talking about.
Hmm. Stuff to download, stuff to rip, stuff to sort, stuff to organize, stuff to burn and stuff to label.

Add a few pots of coffee to that and it's a pretty good all-night project. =)
I was scrolling through pages on steamgifts.com and was pretty surprised to see one game with sooo many entries... Considering the comments and human population, I believe it's a bug of sorts. Or am I wrong? D_D

Granted, I'm pretty far from being an all-knowing authority on every video game known to man, but even so it stands to reason that if something was that popular, I'd probably have heard about it. -laughs-

So yeah, I'd say it's a bug. A very, very, very big bug.

Good evening. =)
Yeah, still up and around. Have some more stuff to do, can't really sleep either, so here I am.
Figure I'll eventually play some crap game for a bit until I beat my head against the desk and fall asleep that way if all else fails. ;)

Yeah,I have the same problem until I get tired enough to sleep. But sometimes that doesn't work neither,so up I get again, take my dog for a walk although she gets pissed off when I wake her.:-)

I can see it now....
"All right, wake up, damn it. If I can't sleep, you can't sleep. Now stop whining, we're going for a walk."

Not a bad idea, but the dogs here are kinda dim even in broad daylight. If I tried to take them for a walk around here, where there are no streetlights at all, they'd probably freak out and try to run off.

(It probably makes more sense when I mention that it's 12:32 in the morning here, and that I live in the middle of frigging nowhere. It is incredibly dark aside from tiny pinpricks of light that look roughly 200,000 miles away when you stand outside and try to not feel like you're on the surface of the godsdamned moon.)
