In some cities, yes. But in mine they are outgunned by the frankly astounding output of the Canada Geese which have taken to living here year 'round. Those suckers leave payloads that violate the Geneva Conventions. ;)

I think that's true for geese in general. According to this sign, the Canadian Goose can poop 2.2 lbs a day.hummer010

Negative.
My nickname is a reference to a different kind of hummer.
Ah, I see. When we were building our house, a bunch of pigeons moved into the garage before we had doors, and they really shit all over the place. I figured when I got the garage doors installed, that would be the end of the pigeons. Not at all. They would hang around and wait for us to get home and open the door, and then fly in. I finally had to shoot them.

They apparently taste very nice in pigeon pie. I have never tried it, so I don't know how true that is.

I find the prospect of eating pigeon horrifically unappealing. I threw them in the bush for the coyotes to eat.http://media.oregonlive.com/ent_impact_dining/photo/ax246-649a-9jpg-08393b0f233afe49.jpg

That's why I have never tried it, I'm happy just eating good old chicken, turkey, goose, and maybe sometimes pheasant. It never hurts to learn new things. We have Greylag and Canadian geese on and around the farm, and I think 2 lbs is about right. :-)

True to an extend - the little grey memory cells are not infinite. ;-) It never hurts to learn new things. We have Greylag and Canadian geese on and around the farm, and I think 2 lbs is about right. :-)

How are your parents today?
My father is driving me crazy by not resting and trying to do things he is not supposed to. He is used to being active and just resting at home is the last thing he wants to do, especially with my brother now off work ill (just a virus, nothing serious) and me having to do more work, he feels guilty and want to help. Which doesn't really help as it makes me just worry more and I have to spend more time stopping him. I don't really mind though, I love him too much for it to really bother me. Besides, parents are meant to drive you crazy when you get older, it's payback for you driving them crazy when you were a child. :-) How are your parents today?
My mother is still under observations, but she is slowly recovering. I'm hoping by the weekend she can go to a regular ward, which should help her as she will have a lot more company. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that she will be home before the end of the month.
How are you doing? I hope you are feeling better?

HypersomniacLive: I'm ok, but why do you ask if I'm feeling better - was I not feeling well?
How are you today? You don't sound as cheerful as you did yesterday.
I just remembered you saying you were not in too good a mood recently, I may have remembered wrong. But I am glad you are doing okay. How are you today? You don't sound as cheerful as you did yesterday.
Not as cheerful today, sadly, my moods seems to be erratic recently. I'm tired, exhausted, stressed, and my mind is all over the place, which is why I tend to have phases of being happy and then not happy. I don't get sad or depressed or anything like that, just not as cheerful as I normally am. I think I have just had too much on over the Christmas time what with my parents being ill and I need a good rest. Having to do more and more at work isn't helping either, but that can't be helped.
It has stopped me hosting some giveaways though. I tend to get a bit silly or off track when my mind is all over the place like it is now (like a regrettable taxi driver incident, which I wish I had handled better and with cleared mind), so I don't think I would be able to give a giveaway the time it needs. But I will be fine, these are just the things life throws at us.

EndreWhiteMane: Howdy all, test went well, I have the artery's of a 19 year old, much to my doctors surprise.
Simple procedure, only side effect is a pretty good headache from the anesthesia.
Thanks for all your wishes! ;)
TinyE, the sun's out here too, yippee. ;)
CarrionCrow: That is frigging excellent news. Happy to hear it. =) Simple procedure, only side effect is a pretty good headache from the anesthesia.

Additional - good morning/afternoon/evening, everyone.
Hopefully your day's going well. =)
Looks like GOG decided to throw out a bunch of stuff at once today. Not one but four items, all of which I have some degree of interest in, and I think Lords of Xulima as well as the Double Dragon Trilogy are hitting on Thursday, so that brings the total to 6.
So much for decreasing the frigging wishlist...-laughs-
tinyE: I'm sure, I just can't stop laughing that Sinistar, who normally is one of the sanest people I know, comes in and out of the blue tells us what "bird mood" he is in. I really owe him one because I was kind of having a shit day and now I'm laughing my ass off. XD
IAmSinistar: Glad to hear it! Not that your day is shit, but that my shitting on it made it unshitty. Damn, now my swear jar is full again. :)
IAmSinistar: My bird-mood of the day apparently is Canada Goose, since I seem to have a desire to poop on everything. ;)
tinyE: From now on no one is allowed to call my posts weird. :P HypersomniacLive: True to an extend - the little grey memory cells are not infinite. ;-)

HypersomniacLive: Yes, the description about your father sounds too damn familiar, that's what parents do. Asides from them having trouble accepting that with time they need to let go of things they used to do (like getting back to work before they've fully recovered), I think it's because the roles get reversed when both parties get older, and that's something they're not used to and also have trouble accepting. My mother is still under observations, but she is slowly recovering. I'm hoping by the weekend she can go to a regular ward, which should help her as she will have a lot more company.
