AgentBirdnest: Morning, DD. How are you today?

I am doing well, thanks... and the drugs are indeed out of my system (well, at least I don't feel them anymore, but I'm not sure about half-lives and all that mumbo-jumbo.)

The sale is going well... I've treated myself a little, and have been hit by some lovely ninjas, which I am sure you already know about ;-)
Hello, Agent! *big hug*

I am doing great, thank you. I am very tired, but other than that I am good. I am looking forward to this evening and my day off tomorrow, so hopefully the day will pass quite quickly. :-)

Glad to hear you are doing well, and that the drugs are out of your system. It's good that you treated yourself a little, people deserve some nice games now and then. As for the ninjas, I am sure I don't know what you mean. :-)

j0ekerr: Doing ok, I guess I shouldn't complain, not that I'm going to stop doing so.

Currently trying to figure out how long I can last before I give in and get that one game!

And I see the thread has become lively again. Morning Agent. Although for you it might be so early it's actually late.
Glad to hear you are doing okay.

What is the "one game" that you are deciding on?

It should be morning all over the US now, or at least past midnight, which is technically morning. :-)

akhliber: We'll be taking Sarge to another "puppy preschool" training class later this morning, which will be a lot of fun. The trainer is just one of the sweetest humans we've met, and we already think of her as family, and Sarge seems to adore her as well. As training seems to tire him out good, we're considering going to see the new Mad Max movie while he naps afterwards. If we don't do that, we'll likely just relax at home and catch up on some cleaning. I've got some shelving for my records I've been meaning to put together so they'll have a better home (they're currently at floor level in little cubicles and I'm afraid they'll become a chew toy or pee target before too long) and may work on that a bit later if we've nothing pressing going on.
And that's probably my favorite thing about this weekend, is that all signs point to us having *nothing pressing* going on. We can be productive, but not because we absolutely have to.

How about you, any exciting plans? Or excitingly boring plans? :)
How is the puppy training going? I am glad you are all enjoying it. I hope you have a very pleasant weekend, and a very relaxing one.

Saturday night is my romantic evening with my partner, so that will be fun, and Sunday is my one day off a week, and we will probably just spend the day together and relax and have some fun. Maybe some horse riding if the weather is nice, and maybe do some more gardening. Other than that it will just be a nice restful day.

Hurm apropos of nothing.

Were there similar accusations and much pointing of fingers at the 360 and PS3 having performance issues with the most demanding games right after being released? Because I don't quite remember that being an issue back then. Whereas the xbone and ps4 have been described as having underwhelming hardware for most games, current and future from day one.

akhliber: Good morning, folks! Seems the new anesthesia didn't make me manic the way I'm used to, as I got a good few hours of sleep. It's 5:30am and I feel rested and ready to kick today's arse. I hope you're all doing well!
Hi, akhliber ;-) Good that your mind is your own (and not that other fella's). Are you normally such an early riser, or is this a sign of the mania? Apologies for being a tad direct (tell me to bugger off, if you want), but I find the subject interesting after reading about your experiences yesterday. Whichever, its good to have an arse-kicking, ready for anything attitude to any day ;-)

Training is going great. Keeps me busy during the days with him, and he absolutely loves training. He seems to like the praise involved as much as he does the treats. He's growing so fast, he'll likely overpower my wife in a month's time, so we're quite excited that he's taking so well to training and that he seems so determined to learn how to be a proper gentleman. :)

Sounds like a perfect weekend! Gardening is something I always wanted to get into but never did. I always blamed my allergies for not being able to, but I used the same excuse for never having pets as well, and my allergies haven't really been a wreck since we got the little guy. I think I was just so used to them being severe as a kid and always expected them to be. So who knows, maybe gardening isn't out of the question for good!

Stilton: Hi Agent ;-) Have you purged the Dentist's poison and returned to 'Happy Central'?

(I really don't know what's going on in my head today, so apologies in advance to everyone...)

AgentBirdnest: Indeed, I have. Feeling quite pleasant this morning, and mostly glad to be alive :-)

(No worries. Everyone has strange days. Just ask me from yesterday n__n) Hope you are doing alright.

Unrelated frustration ventilation : After 41 days, I think I am finally starting to get sick of my ears ringing >:-/
FearfulSymmetry has an ongoing ear problem - a beeping in one ear, and her doctor's assistant suggested an olive oil drip (its quite a common treatment for ear anomolies). It might work for you...

Do you train him with treats, or a clicker, or with another method? I hope the training keeps going well and that he will be a proper gentlepuppy. :-)

I am lucky enough to not have any allergies, so gardening has never being a problem. I find it quite relaxing, and a lot of fun when doing it with my partner. With my busy work schedule these last few weeks we have not really had time to give it some attention, but hopefully over the next few weeks we can get it all lovely and full of lots of pretty flowers.

BUGGER OF--okay, that just feels silly. I figured I'd at least *see* if I wanted to tell you to bugger off. ;) I don't mind at all, I actually prefer directness and my own curiosity often catches others off guard, so I'm the last to ever be offended by direct questions.

I'm most often up this early these days, but I also sleep an average of 3-4 hours a night, and when I have the discipline to, I stick to a polyphasic cycle of one 3 hour nap and 2 or 3 twenty minute naps throughout the day. Certainly not a sleep schedule that works for everyone, but I've never needed more than about 5 hours a day, and lately I find that to be a bit too much in general (I'll end up more tired from over-sleeping than from under-sleeping sometimes, so I try to strike a balance. Plus, I hate missing life, so sleep is still something I take to reluctantly, kind of like when I was a toddler.)
So my sleep schedule leaves me awake for most of the day, and I've found this gives many the impression that I'm either always up too late, or waking up really early, or both. I think it's more that I've just got the freedom to sleep when my body demands it, which is something I likely don't appreciate as much as I should. :)

I am sure my weekend will be lovely, they usually are. :-)

Yes, Owl will know, but if she tried to point the finger at me then don't believe her, she is just making it all up about me gifting games. :-)

I have no coffee, as I don't like it, but I can offer a hug?

Stilton: Hi, Rabbit.

I have a love-hate relationship with coffee - I love it, but it hates me. I have to space my intake with extreme care or I get vesuvian repercussions involving the lower half of my body and a hefty amount of yelling. A bucket of the stuff would probably a. end my happy existence in agonizing pain, b. launch me into the stratosphere (Felix Baumgartner - who he?), or c. rip me completely in half. Which is a long-winded (!) way of saying, no, I 'aven't.
avatar
akhliber: I have a lot of trouble keeping solid foods down, but my biggest fear in life is having this response to coffee. I don't drink it like I used to, but I'd easily go through 3-5 pots, often more, a day. I'm back to around a pot a day, but I can't imagine not being able to drink the stuff like it's water.
It started all of a sudden about a year ago after a pot of strong black coffee with a friend. All I can say is the pain was excruciating, something like John Hurt's character must've felt just before he 'gave birth' to mini metal chops in Alien. I've had one similar and two lesser episodes since then and now have a very respectful attitude to coffee. My personal evolution, I guess. Bodies change as time passes. I drink lots of water now. Not as exciting, but pretty healthy.

good morning! *give everyone a firm but tender cuddle*

Hope you are all doing well? (I only get to pop in quickishly because I'm leaving for the grandparents in half an hours's time :D )
