It doesn't happen often, but it happens. The Witcher games, of course... Tropico Reloaded and American Nightmare definitely had price drops. There are news posts when it happens.

Thank you, I made lots of things for the community, I gave away, I purchased for other people, but never got anything in return, only low rates.

Sorry to butt in, but I also don't know the details, but it seems the people hanging a lot in the gifting thread and nowhere else do get quickly down-repped - if all they do is ask for games for themselves. I think it happened to me once, I was asking half-serious about some expensive game and bam! rep went down quite a bit :)
It might be a good idea to think of something creative to write here in the forums, help where you can, that sort of thing.
Be part of the whatever is going on... But as the saying goes "Nobody likes an ass-kisser" except some weird perverted people but I'm almost sure there are not many of those around.
