EndreWhiteMane: Howdy! Friend post?
avatar
wulf6491: Pretty much, but figured might as well make it a nice one! And this seemed the most applicable place to put it.
That was nice of you and we appreciate it.
Welcome to our little(!) thread. :-)

l0rdtr3k: Why does whis sale had to happen when I'm out of money?
At least I don't care about posting on the gifting thread. BTW Crow,Wasteland is pretty cool but damn,is very hardcore.
Ah, the code decided to work then. Happy to hear it.

Yeah, that doesn't surprise me. It's supposed to be seriously hardcore. Combining that with the old interface and it's that much harder.

But damn,it's the old " read the manual,ur casul" type of games.
I have no problem with people making friend posts in this thread. It's certainly a lot better than seeing 8 to 10 individual threads pop up every day.
avatar
CarrionCrow: 79 minutes to go. Hurry up, stupid timer!
avatar
BillyMaysFan59: This is why I liked flash deals better. They were faster paced! :D
It makes the 40 minute waits for the end of the year sale items feel lightning fast.

But, at the same time, we're getting 51 to 52 items every 12 hours versus 3 every 40 minutes.
So there isn't that much of a difference ultimately.
One hour five minutes!

I agree, this is the right place for it.
Only annoys me when they make it a stupid one. The one above was great.

-laughs- Oh yeah it is.

The really funny thing? It was even more manual-dependent originally. The Wasteland you and I both have now is the version that had the text added back that was originally printed out in a physical paragraph book.

Is like Wiz6 all over again.
Evening folks. Except for the night owls awake in the late night.

Been nursing a not quite cold and feeling almost sick all afternoon. I'm reminded of Mr. Burns and how his multtude of diseases actually kept him on the brink of health. That and the sauna like heat of the room with the computer in it have kept me away. Now It's almost 1 am, the window's wide open and it's still 28ºC in here.

Welp, need to get Grim Fandango before it's gone.

Also noticing another aspect of the 12 hour sale format.
It gives the customer's brain a lot of time to chew on the items presented, possibly leading them to buying more things as they consider it.

Example - I'm not a huge racing game person. Never have been, can't really remember playing them aside from F-Zero on the SNES, and that feels like it was roughly 7,000 years ago.
But...I kept looking at what's available and after a while, I found myself wondering about Flatout and Flatout 2.
The prices are good. They look like fun games. So now I'm going to end up buying those when a faster glance wouldn't have had time to trigger the analysis that led me to buying them.
