Vnlr: Guten Dag!

I've seen some good games pass by which I already own (like stalker), but frankly there are a real load of games that simply do not sparkle my interest; I have a rather selective taste for such things ;)

Your Dutch is quite good, woon je misschien in de buurt van de grens met Nederland of Belgie? :p ;)

ElTerprise: I only know a few words and can sometimes read it. And not at all. I live in Hamburg but i know some low german which is to some degree similar to dutch...but i'd actually be interested in learning it and for a german it's not that difficult i guess :)
How do I gift to someone without knowing their email?
avatar
XxXSprayvWarXxX: Um... No French knowledge for me!
avatar
Vnlr: He, here in Belgium it is mandatory for all students to learn French and English next to Dutch, so that gives me a chance to converse with our dear Owl in her own language - with fat accent and bad spelling et all :D

But she said she likes it, so I politely indulge ;)

It basicly means no more than:

hello my friend, how are you doing?

It's a lovely day here in Maaseik, a tad hot, but there is a little refreshing breeze; And over at your place (although I haven't a clue where in France you actually live)?
Alright! :) I'm good! :)

Vnlr: Good noon people,

how's the sale working out for you all? ;)
Hey, good Noon too, Vlnr !!
(same time zone !! \o/)
Pretty good here... I only bought a few 0-2 euros games so far, which is fine to my wallet (still trying to recover from a recent and quite heavy car-fixing bill... !) :-) and mostly, I had been granted many gifts from our lovely DD and Agent... which cheers me up a lot... \o/
What about you, any boughts, wishes... ?

Gift it yourself and send the key via chat would be the easiest way i think...

XxXSprayvWarXxX: Thank you so much for your welcome! Yes I do enjoy it, but not fully! No money :)
You're welcome :)
Hey... like a lot of people here, I guess... !! :-\

Lovely, we passed through Hamburg while on vacation once ... It seemed to be a nice city ;)

There are indeed a lot of similarities, and the basics are sometimes the same; but Dutch lacks "naamvallen?" and makes up for it with books full of convoluted rules (with all assorted exceptions ). The language I gather, is a real pain to master. But for German speaking people the vocabulary would at least point itself out pretty much.

How about you, how are you?

Stilton: Same old same old, then... ;-)

I'm feeling unusually upbeat, to the point that I'm getting suspicious of myself and looking over my shoulder to see if I'm going to do anything to me when I'm not looking. Odd but interesting.
avatar
CarrionCrow: Pretty much. Like a pony whose one trick is self-flagellation. ;)

That's not a bad thing. There are plenty of circumstances where a grim demeanor is the order of the day, might as well enjoy those times that it goes the other way.

Out of curiosity, what item or items are you holding out for ?
The Paradox list is what I'm most interested in, along with Wings of Prey and the Men of War series. One or two other odds and ends, but they're the standouts.

I don't know what the likelihood is - they haven't been on GOG's books for that long. We'll see.

How about you? You must have most of it covered by now.

I mostly pass these occasions ... If Conquest frontier wars goes on sale for a euro or 2 I might buy it, but that's about it :)
I'm saving up for a few CD's at the moment actually. There is a lovely box with all Penderecki's symphonies, and one with Schnittke's (aargh, agony of choiche!), but with penderecki still alive, Schnittke deceased not 20 years ago and the recordings being quite modern (and there being a load of discs), these are expensive sets.

I did manage to cheaply get a boxed collection of Rautavaara's works, so that's great (I still have to listen to some, but ooh my)

Hooo... not bad at all... but I laughed at your "je m'en fous où vous vous trouvez en France" :-D ... it's not very kind to tell people you don't give a f*ck about where they live !! hihihi ^^
Otherwise, I live in Northern France, near LILLE :-)
I don't know MAASEIK... I think the farthest I gone in Belgium was VERVIERS...
