Stilton: Tomorrow the first stages of 'The Sticking' will commence!

Thanks for the prod ;-)

adaliabooks: No problem, I used to work for the Citizen's Advice Bureau... it's kind of stuck with me ;)
A good man to have in my corner ;-)

ddickinson: Good evening!

I see you picked up a few games. Are you hoping for any game in particular to come on sale?

I am doing great, thank you. My evening was awesome. :-)
avatar
ElTerprise: Yup. Took me some time to decide but had a few on my list :)
I'm still hoping for Divinity Original Sin....as Wasteland 2is now covered ;)
Glad to hear that you're doing great :D
If Divinity Original Sin shows up for more than the 40 percent off it was a little while back, the server load for GOG is going to go nuts. -laughs-

HypersomniacLive: Hello again, farm girl!

I'd say it leans towards the bad thing side. GOG support will be overwhelmed, they can't manage without heavily prioritising as it is, and if they don't do something about it, discontent will increase with everything that that brings.

On an unrelated note - this slow paced sales somehow manage to get me more tired. Anyone else?

ddickinson: Hello, Mr Hyper! *respectful wave*

I wonder why GOG does not hire more support staff given all the new customers. Surly they can't expect to provide the same level of service without investing in their customer service.

I preferred the whole flash sale layout, but someone said this sale is more like Steams sale, so I guess that is what GOG was going for.
No if they hire more staff, the support would actually be good. if you want to become like steam, just underpay everyone and make them work edouble shifts! :D

ddickinson: Did you get Wasteland 2 from the kickstarter thing? I wonder if Divinity Original Sin will make an appearance. What kind of % discount are you hoping for?
Yes - i'm now a first time backer - but also did it because The Bard's Tale game really sounds interesting and to games for a 20$ pledge is not too bad :)

gunsynd: Oh,morning all.Back to the sale.
Good morning. How are you doing?

CarrionCrow: If Divinity Original Sin shows up for more than the 40 percent off it was a little while back, the server load for GOG is going to go nuts. -laughs-
Quite possible - but it would be worth it ;)

Why do you say this? I don't see how GOG support can be overwhelmed by this news. To me this is only an advertisement for a future game release.

Fine,it's very nippy and I see Crow is awake:-)
avatar
EndreWhiteMane: I wholeheartedly agree. And it takes little of GOG's time and other resources, Something they're starting to spread a bit thin.
avatar
CarrionCrow: Hoping that they can get the California office off the ground relatively quickly. Once they can start routing some of the issues through a second team, things should start flowing better, rather than the one group in Poland getting their teeth kicked in with the workload endlessly.
I was going to mention that too. I would think they would find a much, much larger base to hire from there.
Of course we don't know whether they have the cash to throw around or whether they're on a pretty tight leash yet.

CarrionCrow: Unfortunately, I'm not very good with game add-ons. I usually don't use them, so I don't have a selection of places to check out. I know they're around, though. Have seen bits of different ones being mentioned while looking for game info.
Also, it's good that you're enjoying the series so much, since Shadowrun Hong Kong is supposed to be coming out within the next few months. Looking forward to that one quite a bit.
Don't worry, thought I'd ask since I knew you were a fan. I'll just have a look around when I've finished Dragonfall :)
Yeah, I've seen some stuff about it but not really read much. It'll definitely be going on the wishlist at the very least, if not purchased immediately if the price is good.

I'm quite enjoying it. It gives me time to gab, to check stuff out, to eat now and then. And with the twelve hour change over, even to sleep! Now there's a novelty. I like the faster paced sales, too, but this feels a lot more comfortable.

Benefits and debt were more my areas of expertise (and employment to a lesser extent), but I can certainly lend a hand when it comes to consumer stuff :)
Must remember it's a WINTER sale for us,sitting on heater.

Soccorro: I'm trying to fasten up the countdown by running around. Only a little bit more training and i will be able to reach near lightspeed and travel into the future :3
How about you try and bring the future to us? :-)

Wow, from shoving your boo up my arse you've gone to super formal. Any hope for some middle ground? And please don't say soon™ :-P

It could be a combination of two things - the rate with which they're willing to invest in that department, and the willingness/ availability of qualified people to work in Warsaw.

The Sale is more Steam like too? I see a time, not far in the future, when we may actually be grateful for the site's fifty shades of grey, that may well be the only thing to remind us where we are on.
