at least shopped The Last Federation's add-on, finally. Another great thing to try.

That's what I have also heard from my lil'bro who has played it through 3-4 times.
At least it's the original team (or some of it) that's made this new version and the X-Com 2 is announced too...
Yeah being a drm-freedom cultist secretly in my heart it still feels bittersweet to get it from That Other Place :)

Stilton: A few days ago the hospital sent a letter telling us the appointment had been shunted back from July 27 to September 17. Then it became Viking time and I made a firm but polite phonecall (I was feeling unmovable at the time) and it was put forward to July 30, so only a loss of three days from the original date. I've no idea how they make these choices, but nearly two months extra to wait was completely unacceptable.

I'm glad things are good with you ;-)
My jaw dropped when I read that "from July 27 to September 17". Good that you got that sorted out. I also have no idea how hospitals make such decisions, seen it many times, and it looks like it's a universal plague.

Already have quite a few of them. Once I remove those, remove the items I can't run, the items with bad reviews, and the items that are on my list but aren't discounted enough to get on day one, and there's not a huge amount to grab.

Well, sometimes enemies will spawn in when your troops are in a really bad position, and there's no way of foreseeing that.
If you're exposed and they pop out, there's a fair chance you're going to get your ass shot off before you can get to cover.
Beyond that, there were times that my troops would keep missing what seemed like perfect shots. That got old.

Wow, that's a load of bullshit.

Very happy to hear you persuaded them to not be assholes. That's one of those "cooperate so I don't have to take the helmet off and beat sense into you with it" scenarios.
