ElTerprise: I think i should replay it at some point although i heard that trying to play it in widescreen might not be the best idea...
I'm not sure, I've never looked into that. I'm usually content to play older games in a smaller window.

tinyE: Kind of a strange tech question, thought I'd throw it out here because it's not really a game breaking bug and I don't want to bother support. :D

Anyone who has played Act of War knows about the horrendous loading times for saved games. Well I noticed if I turn off XP compatibility the load times go to almost nothing, HOWEVER I do get the following error (see attach) when I start the game.

As soon as I click OK the messaged goes away and the game plays great, but I don't want to find out I'm damaging my PC by just skipping over the error.
the enemy tried to execute you but your skills were too high and they failed!

Me too but always look at the possibilty to have in a convenient 16:9 resolution but i'd play them in when it stretches to the resolution :)

Hello! *big hello hug*

I am very excited, not really for the sale, but I have something lovely planned this evening with my partner, and that has made me all happy and excited (I can't say what it is. It's a secret. :-)). And I think that is helping me get into the gifting spirit.

I did not buy anything for me, I don't really plan to. Although, if I spend a little more on gifts then I unlock a game form my wishlist, so that will be my game from the sale. :-)

I am glad to hear you are doing good and that you had a nice time off yesterday!

FearfulSymmetry: Yes, Jade Empire is really good, it's an excellent RPG. I found it really refreshing because the setting is so much different from what you usually encounter. The soundtrack is super good as well. Combat is geared a bit more towards consoles but it didn't bother me as I was playing. If you want to try it out let me know, I have a rule of giving away at least one copy of Jade Empire everytime it's on sale.

And you're very generous. :) But please, if you're giving it away, give it to someone else. I'm sure there's a fan out there who would really love it.
