j0ekerr: Personally, I've always thought of DD as more of a headbutt-greeting, kind of girl.
The kind which makes YOU wear a helmet.
ddickinson: So that's how Spanish women say hello? :-) The kind which makes YOU wear a helmet.
As long as it's not that ridiculous cheek kissing thing that people like doing these days. Damn you continentals and spreading your bizarre kissing customs! :-)
Most women and children indeed, do the whole cheek kissing thing.
However your typical male greeting between buddies usually involves much florid banter starting with a NOT in the least subtle remark about the addressee's mother proffession of choice, followed by at least one or more disturbingly personal remarks on his habits (be them about personal hygiene or table manners), with the number of them indicating how close he is to you. And usually finished with a rather explicit reference to the addressee's sexual activities and/or preferences.
Also there is no such a thing as a universal swear word, there's a dozen.
