ElTerprise: Good Morning everyone *big hugs and waves*
Just a quick post before leaving for university. I hope you're all doing fine :)
Good morning!
I hope you are doing well?
Have a good gay at university!
LaPtiteBete: That sounds lovely !!
(I'm sure the peanut butter jar will have its little effect... wait and see) :-)
Wow you did play quite a lot... I don't know the games you have mentionned yet, though I own Clarc at least...
I hesitated about Gone Home, when I saw it with a big discount... but the reviews weren't terrific, yes...
I am sure it will, Agent loves his peanut butter. :-)
Clarc is quite fun, but it get's a little repetitive. The story is also a little predictable, but overall it is a fun and short puzzle game. (The robot reminds me of Wall-E.)
I was not a fan of Gone Home. I personally thought it was dull, and overrated. The ending made little sense, and the hidden story about the uncle and the dad (if that's who they were, and if I was reading into things correct) was not really that good either. Do you know what the story is about? My partner was gifted it due to the subject matter, her friend thought we would enjoy it. But even with us being able to relate a little, I found it still quite dull and not really worth all the praise it got in the media.
CarrionCrow: Dawn of War 2 is Company of Heroes reskinned for Warhammer 40K in large part.
They decided to change the series by making it like something they were already doing.
I've beaten 2, I've beaten Chaos Rising, and Retribution's been sitting on my desktop for months since I've had very little desire to play more of the same, let alone play it 7 times.
I have not played Company of Heroes, but it was quite the deviation from the original format, so I can see it being just a skin for another game. To be honest, from what my brother told me and from the little I played, the DOW 2 games seem just as repetitive and dull as the later DOW 1 games. If GOG ever got them I would probably pick them up when on a really good sale, just so that I could give them a play through, but I would not pay too much, and I doubt if they have a lot of replayability.
