ddickinson: Many publishers do not seem to be acting clever anymore. Could you imagine how much Sega would make if they ported all of their old games onto GOG, even if they sold them as anthologies. Roms and emulators are all over the internet for them, so it's not like it's hard to make them work on new systems.
Well they want to make huge profits and fail to see alternative ways to achieve that goal...not very clever ;). I mean it's an easy way to re-release slightly older AAA-titles on GOG (like Assassin's Creed II or Bulletstorm for example) to make some additional money...

Well I had better get some sleep. I am up at 3am (so about 3 hours from now).
I hope you all have a pleasant evening, and a nice day for those living in the future. :-)
*goodnight hugs and some silly waves*
The problem with Sega is that they are a japanese company, and Japan seems to be against DRM-Free, they are not too fond of PC gaming, and a lot of the more modern aspects of gaming. But who knows, with the new publishers GOG has been getting maybe more big publishers will sign up.

Yes - think so too. It's like Konami which really tries to completely ruin their reputation now by questionable decisions... I hope you all have a pleasant evening, and a nice day for those living in the future. :-)

Aloha all, good night EIT. ;)
Serpent in the Staglands looks pretty good so far, especially for a two man show.
I'm going to wait for a few reviews and a proper PDF manual but pretty sure I'll buy it soon.
Interesting that it sounds, and looks, like a mix of Krondor and Darklands.
There is a demo on their website for anyone interested.

Yeah, figuring it'll be a near future purchase as well.
The release discount isn't great, but in this case that's not a bad thing since I'd prefer to pay full price for it.
Might end up holding off until I see what the summer sale situation looks like, though.
D4's coming, its retail price is lower, and as much as I like good RPG's, I want to support people who make games that are insane even more. -laughs-

Can I just chime in here and say that I hate GOG Chat. Not just the tiny typing box, not just that you have to do a key combo to insert a newline. No, what I really hate is that it sorts by online status instead of by WHO HAS SENT YOU A F*$%ING MESSAGE.
That's somewhat annoying, that is.
Dear GOG Developers - I will buy you a book on interface design and usability, your very first. I will also fly down to Poland and personally upgrade your installed software from Netscape Navigator and AOL Instant Messenger. There have been oh so many advancements in the technology since 1998. You don't have to be Good Old Geocities anymore.

Sounds more an echo than a chime. ;)
Yes, it truly does suck. Getting this to post wasn't a treat either.

I'm really hoping the Summer Sale begins soon, to brighten things up. All this negativity and shitstorming about GOG rejecting Hatred is getting old.
