l0rdtr3k: At least I can hug you.ANything planned for the weekend?
avatar
ddickinson: I am working for most of Saturday, then it's my romantic evening with my partner on the nighttime, then Sunday me and my partner will just probably relax in the morning, then probably some horse riding in the afternoon, then we are going to a nice restaurant to celebrate the end of my extra long work days.

How about you, anything planned for your weekend?

avatar
gunsynd: Fine,08.10 Friday and you know I'm only joking:-)
avatar
ddickinson: Glad to hear you are doing fine. Do you have anything nice planned for your Friday.

And of course I know you were only joking. I hope my reply did not come off as though I minded your comment? I appreciate it, it allowed me to correct the error.
No,of course not.Footy and nothing much else.
avatar
ElTerprise: Will probably happen more often soon. We're about 10-15 people doing those surveys so the odds are pretty high.
Aye...who knows...
On the bright side, the Summer sale will be here soon, so you should be able to pick up as many games as you like. :-)

How is your awesome team doing, still dominating the league?

ddickinson: The first one had some awful sequels (just ask Crow :-)), but I thought it was a great RTS game. I have been wanting to try the second set of games, just out of curiosity, by I am too stubborn to try them on Steam. Even without much knowledge of the universe, they still make great RTS games that I think any fan of the genre could pick up.
Yeah heard about that - was it Soulstorm ? That's why i'd like to see them here and apparently some of the games are actually edited in Germany (from what i heard) - yes i know - surprise...*sigh*...

CarrionCrow: Good evening. =)

Okay here, just crawling my way towards 300 games downloaded and cursing my slow internet.

That would be based on Bill Hicks as the core. Thought about Dethklok's song Hatredy and it came to mind.
Uhm...slow internet is damn annoying...
So it's basically based on the whole Hatred issues here recently right?

My wallet begs to differ at the moment - still hoping the summer sale will not start until second half of June...but then yes :)

Soulstorm definitely, according to Crow, and also the one before it, Dark Crusade, was also not too good. It was just Skirmish maps really with a weak story frame. I wonder why they were edited in Germany? Strange.

Will you be watching them with your girlfriend?

Well at least you won't be able to beat me to gifting people if the sale starts sooner. :-)

Not at the moment, too many injuries.

Hello - glad to hear that you're doing fine.
When you're saying Footy what are you actually referring to? Association Football (aka Soccer) or Australian Football? My guess would be the latter one but i'm not sure...

No, I changed it before that started up. Not going to change my title for something that ultimately means very, very little to me.

Hm....possibly not *sad face*....:P

I'm not sure - but my guess would be violence - but that must have been years ago - recently our classification board gets more tolerant about these things (and to be frank many of these edits are done before the actual rating process as the german classification board doesn't actively censor the games - they can only refuse classification...

Okay just thought in that direction because of the menrion of 'hatredy' :)...and from what i heard the game is okayish at best, not that it interests me in any way....
But thanks for the clarification.

I guess it could be violence, but it's not like it's graphical or any different from most RTS games. I am not sure we will see the games on GOG though, Sega seem reluctant to bring games here.

That's a shame. But I guess that comes with the territory. They could always wear all that padding like in American Football, but then where is the fun if you do that. :-)

Well Sega doesn't seem to act very clever in the last years. And they had some of their older games drm-free on DotEmu...but there is still hope...

I could start a war with the American footy supporters, nah they can't win:-)

Many publishers do not seem to be acting clever anymore. Could you imagine how much Sega would make if they ported all of their old games onto GOG, even if they sold them as anthologies. Roms and emulators are all over the internet for them, so it's not like it's hard to make them work on new systems.

Definitely a lot more performance enhancing drugs and things in the American sport. Are there any serious injuries among your team or just minor ones?

A few serious injuries amid the star players.
