Well, today kinda sucked on my end since some idiots backed into my car while I was leaving a store today. Thankfully it can be fixed but I am not looking forward to draining my savings on my car since I know my insurance will not cover everything right now. Not exactly making much money so I can't just throw money willy nilly at it right now.

Think I'll just stick to here and maybe a release thread to be supportive when something interesting comes out.

Aside from that, I'll read my books, organize downloads, maybe watch a movie and stay away from more conflict shit.

Was it primarily cosmetic damage, or did the dumbasses manage to really mess your car up?

Another day another fuck ton of healing done.

Almost all the swelling is gone and the bruises are down to sickly yellow.

Different pieces of post op paperwork say different things about which sutures get pulled and which desolve. All the papers were wrong about no sutures coming out yesterday so who knows! Even with my just started photo documenting I can see a huge improvement.

I feel the same - although I have to admit that lately I've had to try to block out some posts that imo just don't belong here. I know it's a 'free-for-all' but all the same there's stuff I just don't need to read about here of all places.

On a happier note, glad you've got a new mouse now, Crow, that should help your hand problems. I do find that wireless is easier than having cables to catch on things, but I guess it's what you're used to. You certainly had a productive day, hope that helps you to sleep well, when you do.

I know what you mean. I tend to get very angry/upset/whatever about certain things, so I try to avoid bringing them up here.
Seriously mixed results at times on that, though.

I've been using wireless for a while, was thinking of going back to wired as a way to eliminate input lag (also known as me bashing the crap out of the left mouse button four to five times before the first click would register), but it seems that the old item was just damaged. This one works much better.

I can submerge it in water at 4 weeks post op, sex between six and eight weeks post op, and all swelling and sensation should return between six and twelve months.

I tend to heal from this kind of thing well so maybe four to six months?

Damn...that's pretty remarkable, all things considered.
Speaking solely from imagination, but envisioning the level of work being done, that's a really fast recovery time.

I was in surgery for pretty much exactly eight hours, and I can feel all sorts of places inside me I usually don't, it's strange. Both of my friends who have done this before me had much slower recoveries. Multiple weeks stuck in bed off the bat, and swelling still at the one year mark, I'm thankful every moment that I'm not still stuck not moving at all.

That's interesting. I figure a person gets stuck in their shell, they end up feeling like they know the range of what tactile experience is going to be, but you're adjusting to a different range.

Yeah, sounds like your improved recovery rate is helping out quite a bit.
The major dizziness you mentioned previously would be bad enough, let alone being bedridden.
