Interesting, just got an email from my pharmacy saying my Nitroglycerin tablets are ready to be picked up.
Knew nothing about it and have never used them before. Guess my blood test wasn't so good?
Of course I'll have to wait till Monday to see what's up. Why does this worry me? :/

That is messed up. Not quite as bad, but almost as disconcerting, as someone calling to set up an appointment for your chemotherapy that you didn't know about....

Maybe it's just a mistake?

I'd love to go deep on a strategy or sim for a good few weeks, but I have my first entry on the "games finished in..." thread and now it's all about juicing my totals. ;)
Here's a projection of your year's totals. ;-P

Whew. I'm a dreamer with my head in the clouds, but that's some kind of total!!! :)

P.S. Some of my list of games-to-touch over the weekend are entirely your fault. Need to restart Unhack to remember where I am, going to start Three Fourths Home, and will really try to get Indy on his way again. Thanks alot, HSL. ;)

Maybe it's just a precaution because of the procedure I'm having Tuesday but damn, wish they'd told me about it.
Why do doctors always do this stuff on Friday so you have to wait to find out what's going on? :/

Yeah, Friday is an awful time, but letting your pharmacist tell you about it isn't even approaching fulfilling one's duty, imo.

My pharmacist doesn't know either, have to wait till Monday. Sheesh.

Ah, if only all things I'm told are my fault were as nice and joyful...

My best wishes for Tuesday.

Doctors have a tendency to skip telling one things, sometimes because they're very familiar with them and somehow assume we are too.
Though I can totally sympathise on the Friday bombs thing (had this great experience a few times), try not to worry over the weekend about the additional meds, it's quite likely that they're part of your preparation for the procedure.

Thanks for the wishes, I really do appreciate it, and you're probably right about the preparation thing. ;-)

Best wishes on both the prescription worry and the procedure. I wish they had explained too. Hopefully the office will have more details for you on Monday. If it really was a total mix-up and for another patient you will want to know before picking it up!

Okay, two things.

First, did finally manage to find an article mentioning use of nitroglycerin to prevent hypertension during stent grafts, so that might be the connection. Course, I'm also not a doctor, so I might be completely wrong. Here it is if you want to take a look.

Second, I keep reading about all the different conditions under which a person might need to take nitroglycerin, so now I'm stuck with the mental image of some 90 year old guy snorting lines of nitro mixed with Viagra off some prostitute's ass just before she makes the most disgusting 500 dollars of her life....

Thanks, that helps a bit. AND sadly I don't have 500 dollars. :-)

Wasn't referring to you, ya dork. -laughs- I know what your age is already and it's a far cry from 90.

Look at the bright side - by the time you hit 90, you'll probably have managed to set aside $500. ;-)
