ElTerprise: If i had to choose i think i'd keep the current forum - as long as GOG don't fix the new stuff...
I am hoping that if we do get a new forum that we keep the dark theme, I am not keen on all the light grey we have all over the site. The nice and dark grey forum makes a refreshing change to the minimalistic site. I wonder if they will turn all the icons greyscale on the new forum. :-)

gunsynd: Well decline,nearly same effect.
Still, it would be nice if GOG gave a blanket option to handle the invitations.

Anyway, how are you today?

LaPtiteBete: Good morning, DD !!
** Big morning hug back **
I slept well, yeah, thanks :) what about you ?... not too tired ?....
I'll keep an eye on the thread, don't worry... ):-|
And... good luck for your hard work... :-\
** Big bunch of encouraging and comforting hugs **
Good morning, Owl! *big return hug*

I slept very well, thank you. But my partner makes it very hard for me to get up in the morning, all I want to do is just stay in bed. :-)

I know I can trust you to keep them all inline. And when Agent gets here he can help, providing there is no peanut butter to distract him. :-)

Do you have anything nice planned today?

*more big random hugs*

LaPtiteBete: Hum... hold on... I didn't say "great"... it's a bit grey and chilly too... but I opened the window nevertheless... which means it's not -that- chilly, because I'm very sensitive to cold :-p
No course this week ? Cool !!! \o/
Yes - i didn't realise that until i got home from FedCon :P.
But your weather definitely sounds better than the one i have here...;)

Yes - i also really like the dark theme and i wasn't too happy when they changed the site to the minimalistic style last year. It's posible that they'll change the icons but that wouldn't be very handy to use, would it?

Very handy to use? Have you seen what they did to the account section, hardly the most handy and easy to use. Or when the redesigned the game pages and made you click a text link to read the whole description of the game. I sometimes think GOG is not interested in making the site easy to use. :-)

Fine thanks and fair point:-)

ddickinson: So was the Irish vote up to the public? In the UK it was just passed in parliament without the need for a mass vote, but I guess with Ireland being Catholic that it makes sense. What I liked about the UK's approach, was that they are not forcing the churches to accept the changes, but the churches can perform same sex marriages if they wish (otherwise it will be performed by a licensed Registrar in a non-religious ceremony). I am all for people being treated the same no matter what, but I also do not think it would be fair to force a religion to do things they believe is against their faith, even if others see their believes as outdated. Is the Church in Ireland bound to the decision, or is it optional like in the UK?
Yeah, it had to be a referendum because there was a definition of a family in the constitution that needed to be amended, and to do that requires a referendum.
As far as I'm aware it works the same and It's up to the church whether they wish to perform ceremonies or not. Which makes sense, I know I wouldn't want someone who disapproved of my relationship afficiating my wedding.
But I do strongly disagree with people being able to refuse to serve others based on their religious beliefs.

Yes - that's exactly what i meant. Possible that i wasn't very clear with my wording...
That actually reminds me of a german idiom: "Warum einfach, wenn es auch kompliziert geht" which basically means Why do something the simple way when you can do it the complicated way ;) (it loses in translation obviously)

Glad to hear you are doing fine. Anything nice planned for the rest of your day?

Ah, I forgot that Ireland had a constitution. The UK doesn't have one (which for some reason annoys the hell out of the EU), so we don't have to do referendums for things like that. We have more than enough laws in place that would make a constitution irrelevant for us.

I am not sure I 100% agree with this. I agree in a way, and I know where you are coming from, but how is forcing a religion to abide by your way of thinking any different from them trying to make you abide by theirs? As long as people can get married legally via a registrar and that will be recognised by the country's government, then I think the churches are free to refuse if they believe it is against their religion. Freedom and equality works both ways, not just when it suits one party.

I guess we will just have to wait for the "Good New" announcement. :-)

I wasn't particularly meaning marriage, as that is somewhat under the religions area of influence, I was thinking more of people who refuse rooms or to make cakes because the customer is gay and they claim it is against their religion. If you allow that kind of thing I think it opens the door for all kinds of discrimination. I could basically make up a religion and claim anyone I like is inferior and that I don't have to serve them or treat then equally.

Good Morning :)
The Irish can be proud be of themselves - that was really great decision. It also re ignited the discussion in Germany but i don't it'll change anything soon as the government refuses the equality....-.-

Soccorro: Good morning

I'm doing good.... thanks !! :-)
No, unfortunately not. I have to hand it in a week from now and there's still so much to do ... the stress is really getting to me. :|

*enormous hug* So good to hear you're doing well!
Kind of exciting around here today.

Morning :)

If Ireland can do it I'm sure Germany will get there eventually. Those against it are definitely fighting a losing battle all over the world.

I totally understand... it must be really tough to get up extra early and go to work, as your partner is still in bed :-)
True... where is my Agent ?? :-(
Yes... I have a knitting-restaurant planned in the evening :-) but before, I have to go and pick up my wallet, that I forgot at my ex-husband's house on Monday... and you know what... I've been arrested by policemen yesterday... (because the car my garage owner lent me hasn't any insurance sticker on it...) ; first time I'm arrested in > 15 years that I've been driving... and only 2 days in the same 15 years that I didn't have any identity papers, driving licence... nothing !! ,',',,',' :-\ ... luckily, the policeman was extra kind, and he let me go without any fine... while I had no proof of my identity, or that the car (which wasn't even mine) was insured... I felt really lucky...
