Put on Aeon Flux, put on Liquid Television, Celebrity Deathmatch, Beavis and Butthead, The Maxx, things that are actually good.

The Maxx was one of those things important to my development growing up. Taught me useful things on the nature of reality and adults.

It's definitely a personal favorite.

This might be of interest to you. I noticed a while back that MTV had streams of old shows buried in the guts of their site, but then everything went down, errors, nothing working.
Just loaded it up again and it seems to have finally been fixed.

Had pretty much all the old stuff on a media drive but yeah that is pretty rad and all the younguns here should fire up that link

If my experience at school was anything to go by, it was more religion by laziness than by choice or peer pressure. People were just Catholic because that was easy, didn't require you to think about things or have an opinion that differed from the rest of the herd...

I'm impressed with Ireland though, it would be hard to imagine a referendum like that not succeeding in any developed western country (well, maybe some American states.. :/) but considering our background there was a chance it could have failed and it's nice to know Ireland's throwing off the shackles of Catholicism.
The other good thing about these things is that they bring the loonies who oppose them out of the woodwork so you can avoid them more easily, like this guy, who quite frankly sounds like he should be hung, drawn and quartered...

Looks like Amazon has both the Maxx and Aeon Flux in full on DVD.
Liquid Television is harder to come by, unsurprisingly.

Would recommend Maxx to anyone looking for something good and different.

And yes, you'd be right. The key word in what you said regarding countries is "developed", and there are many places in this fucked up country that are anything but.
