EBToriginal: vaginoplasty
Sounds rather scary. But then, I'm the one with the Nosocomephobia. Creation or reconstruction? You don't have to answer of you don't want to, although I hope for the first not wanting to imagine the necessity for the latter.

EBToriginal: Buffy is garbage and joss is seriously over rated in all ways besides actually having talent with musicals.
Buffy garbage? No. Although Whedon nowadays is overrated. He did some really good stuff with Buffy and Firefly. And I've heard some good things about Cabin in the Woods too.

But i.e. Avenger, while I liked the movie a lot as pure entertainment, wasn't even close to what I would have expected.

EBToriginal: I don't know if they had Internet, but I didn't feel like risking something getting swiped, when the alternative was no internet for three days. They had TV though, and I havent't watched normal television in years so that kept me entertained in a stoned on morphone way. The surgery (vaginoplasty) itself went quite well and I tend to heal well from surgery.
No internet for 3 days... wow. And no withdrawals ? ;-p
What is "normal" television... I wonder if you have as "crappy" tv-shows as we have here in France... :-\ I don't watch TV very often either...
Glad to hear your surgery went well ! :-) . Will you enjoy a few days off (work ?) to recover ?...

Creation, I am usually fairly out/open about being trans.

toxicTom: Blasphemy!!!

... And throwing DS9 and Voyager into the same pot is worthy of tarring and feathering >:-(
avatar
GhostwriterDoF: Rest assured that I'm not throwing them into the same pot, in any comparison, it's just that both
DS9 and Voyager are both almost 300 dollars... So I'll wait for a sale on both of those before getting them
no matter how good they are... :P heh!

I'll give Buffy a watch, and see if I can't move it up in priority, with the weight of your recommendation too!
I'd take DS9 over voyager any day. There is just so much from the first four seasons of voyager that really drag what is left down. (I hope you really enjoyed the episode from TOS where Kirk was framed for murdering a guy over his wife. that got repurposed as Riker in TNG and the same script gets trotted out again in voyager.

Well I DID have a pain pump installed for those three days. I have Netflix and sometimes aquire non Netflix things that I want to see, versus having a pre defined television line up of what they want to air. This hospital had about 25 channels, spread over pretty much all of the genres (no Comedy Central though). Just 99% of what is aired is just bad.

LaPtiteBete: That's a good disease :) What are you cooking ??
I haven't been very much around here either... only a few hours (at the very most) from time to time...
How are your works going ? :)
Cooking something simple, quesadillas for now and maybe pancakes later.
Any major dishes I cook usually takes about three hours, but I clean up whilst
I'm cooking so there is nothing to do but eat, and then do those dishes afterwards.

The writing is coming along, currently I'm putting all the foreshadowing into notes under
temporary chapter headings so that when I get to that particular chapter I won't forget what
is tied to what, where it leads to later on in the story. Don't want to leave something out, because
the readers will surely find it later on, and write letters complaining about it, instead of just enjoying the books. ;)

Well, to be fair, I can see this scenario repeating itself through the Star Trek Universe, and over generations, because traditionally, those Star Fleet personnel are pretty frisky folks... it must be the long distances and time spent aboard those ships in close quarters with each other, (and the attractive Aliens!). ;D

All the best wishes then. I really hope you can live the life you want live :-)
Do you get support from friends and family? If you need need to vent, you can chat/PM me anytime, although it may take some time before I'm able to answer.

Yeah, the number of channels is not a guarantee of quality, unfortunately :)
I don't have Netflix... it's quite recent here (?). I know a few people who tried it though ; most of them seem happy about it ; and a few think there is not enough choice...
I am doing quite well as far as the friends and family thing goes. I really lucked out there, so many of my friends have had a lot of ugliness in their lives from the people who were supposed to love and accept them.

Yeah really the problem with television isn't choice (unless perhaps there are too many) it's just that most of it seems to be garbage This applies to Netflix too, it's just that Netflix is a better deal than television and SOME of it is actually curated.

Sorry to hear about your friends... I understand it. It's really painful when your family turn their backs on you... But at least they have you, as a considerate and caring friend :-) .... friendship can save lives.

While one may not have much say in biological relations, I sure as hell have a say in who is and is not my family.
Just a quick good night to everyone *big hugs and waves*

Second day from FedCon is over. Had a nice talk with Aaron Douglas (Chief Tyrol from BSG) at the party :D
