Steam kids... that sounds like a Saturday morning cartoon...
"here they come! The! Steam! Kids! They fight the evil! With their ultra steam powers!"
"Jack! Tony! Magdaleena! The Steam Kids!"

:p
i hate witcher 3 and i didn't even create a topic.
Could everyone do me a favor? Give dampsquib some +1's, he dropped a gift in my chat without me even asking for anything.

BillyMaysFan59: why the hell is it so quiet in here? O_O
Just twiddling my thumbs a bit at the moment, keeping distracted.

Thank you. Boy, dampsquib sure is one generous fellow. He just keeps on gifting people, sometimes without them even asking.

......

Now I've got to hit the sack, 11:53 PM here, played some KotOR 2, tired... good night!

Not a problem, it sounds like they're very generous.

Have a good night, sleep well. =)

I can attest to Dambsquib's generosity, he has dropped a few games in my PM before out of the blue. He is also one of the politest people in the threads he posts in. A true class act :)

Sounds like it. Always a welcome change from the alternative.

It takes one to know one. :-) +1 for both of you.

Good morning / evening to all. I tried to stop by yesterday, but too many GOGbears.

Took a look at the forum once, and that made me beat a hasty retreat. I did notice something that gave me a wry smile - apart from the stupid threads, that just irritates me. In their defence, the GOG search engine is broken, and often posts / threads don't show up for a while, so duplicates are more understandable.

But now that Witcher is available, people who are having problems installing / running it are advising each other to uninstall Galaxy, every last trace of.
Considering that GOG must have pulled out all the stops to get Galaxy up and running - in a manner of speaking - before the Witcher release, there is a dreadful irony in what has now happened.

As I don't have either the Witcher or Galaxy, I am able to observe from the sidelines without any risk to my blood pressure. :-)

Hope you are all well, and that Moon, if she reads this, is recovered and enjoying her trip.

Thanks to those from this thread who sent me friends requests, gratefully accepted. :-)

Just looked at the 'My Account' thread - even that has been invaded by Witcher posts, although thankfully not many. I guess one should be grateful that most of the Steamkiddies (or friend hunters) have stayed out of this thread, with a few strange exceptions that are easy to skip over.

Not sure if you use any add ons to your browser, but adaliabooks has written an awesome search program for the forums. He's a pretty smart guy :)

Thank you very much for the headsup, I will check that out. He is a man of many talents, I'll add some plus 1's to thank him. Wish that more people knew about this, it might have saved a lot of duplicate threads and posts.

Good morning. =)

Yes, the overall forum is rather obnoxious in general right now. Figuring it will be for at least a few weeks, if not longer.

The search engine might be down, but I'd be willing to bet that if I went from thread to thread posting links to the appropriate sub-forums, people would still keep putting out threads in the general area.
Overall confidence in people being sensible when they have a chance to make a spectacle of themselves and throw a fit publicly is not very high. At all.

Galaxy is a beta product, and a new beta product at that. Problems are inevitable.
My Galaxy has slow download speeds. My solution? I don't use it for that.
Doesn't mean I won't as the product is improved, but for now, I've gone with a simple alternative, rather than behaving like an insufferable asshole.

Aside from all the nonsense, how's your day going so far?

Hi to you, Crow. Just read your post re the threads, and I'll be laughing all day. You surely have a way with words when you're angry, and even when you're not. :-)

I agree about the bad behaviour, it is amazing how entitled some people feel, and how utterly devoid of good manners and politeness they are. The anonymity of the internet seems to turn many into raving trolls.
As for the stupid ones, I guess stupid will always be with us.

All well here, thank you, the mornings are at least cool, which I am grateful for. Hope all is well in your world.

Good point about Galaxy, I will also be keeping an eye on it to see when they get the bugs out, and the promised privacy in place. Meantime the GOG downloader works fine for me, in Windows 7.
