ddickinson: I guess they figure you would have no need to buy if three times, but that still does not explain why it lets you with a credit card?
Actually I only bought it twice. But even that reasoning is flawed, I mean, what if you have more than one friend?

Haven't tried that one yet, I've only read about it, I'm kind of hesistant to do so. First they take my credit data, then my kidneys, damn organ thiefs, I need my shotgun!
avatar
ddickinson: What was originally putting you off buying them, and what made you change your mind?
Possible the price and that i won't play them any time soon

avatar
Soccorro: All of them!? Whoa! Oh god Metro looks so yummy! Ahhh the agony....the pain.... :( But ah well back to my backlog :D

And Hi everyone! :D
No. I left out Metro. I falsely counted the Darksiders 2 DLC pack as game *faceplam* ;)

Good morning!

Anything nice planned for your week?

That is what you get for using Steam and DRM, first they take your money, then your kidneys, liver, and other vital organs. Then they put your skin on a robot and force you to go out and make silly, insulting, greedy, and abusive posts on GOG's forum while continually pushing the Steam and DRM ideals on everyone. :-)

I hope you enjoy them. I think only one kind of appealed to me, and that one not very much, so I do not think I will be getting any of the new 5.

ddickinson: You did not misunderstand, we did a bit of Shakespeare with them, and they enjoyed it quote a lot. We did Henry V (which is where your dialogue in the picture came from). They were quite happy doing it and kept asking lots of questions about the play and the history behind it.

Your week does not sound too bad, I would love some more free time to just spend with my partner. Hopefully next week should be my last long week. I was hoping to work extra hard this week and end it this week, but the weather seems against that idea.

That's so great to hear that your Owlet is now flying on her own, I bet you are so proud? How is her speaking coming along, can she say whole words now? I hope your son will understand and that he won't mind, and I hope he is not to upset about changing schools and not seeing his super cool wonder woman mum during the week.

I am glad you like the picture. The flag is to represent your nation and your love of stars. I wanted to include some more characters, so I figured I would have Moon daydreaming about Endre dancing in his mankini. I think you had promised Agent a peanut butter bath after the invasion if he concentrated on his work. :-)

*big extra special return thank you hug*
That sounds awesome... you do amazing stuff for these kids :)
Oh, well... I hope the weather will be kind enough to let you do your work as you have planned... :-|
And yes, I'm proud as pl*ck, as Agent would say... :-D speaking ?... hum... nope. She only says "ma-ma" (it's me) and "pa-pa" (her daddy)... that's all... she refuses to say "merci" (thank you) or Jules (her brother's name)... other than that, she waves bye-bye, and shakes head to say no... she talks a lot, but in her very personnal and funny baby owl language :-D
Nice pick... Endre dancing in his mankini was surely missing on the first version :-D
**Even more encouraging and energizing hugs**

j0ekerr: Why hello there Owl.

You know, I've been doing some number crunching, had to use my toes, good thing I'm barefoot.

But I find it funny that it's actually cheaper to buy the GTA trilogy separately than as a pack.

I should change my handle to "raiders of the cheapest offer".

What do you expect from someone for whom mister Krabbs is his spiritual liegue.
Ho... when will they have the GTA series here on GOG ? :-D ... I love the 3rd one... well, I think it was the third one... (with C.J. ?)

Hey Soccorro !! How are you ? :)
I'm resisting the temptation too, for Metro... it's definitely not my favorite kind of games, but I love post-apocalyptic sceneries and stories... (like STALKER !)... :) **sigh**

LaPtiteBete: That's fascinating... I always love hearing about WW stories.
I'd love to do my family tree too, but I have no idea where to find the info... :-\ I can't make it further than my grand-parents... I have no idea how to do it :-)
Me neither but my grandfather did some work already which i could use....:)

ddickinson: I never quite understood why they chose and Englishman to play a French captain. But I guess it made a change from all the American captains.

What I never really understood, was why the Federation had its home in America, why America seemed to be in charge of this intergalactic organisation, and why every ship in the Federation has the American code U.S.S., should it have not been U.F.S.? It seems very poorly designed to make this interplanetary organisation just America in space.
Yeah i didn't make much sense but Patrick Stewart was great in this role :).
Iirc the U.S.S stood for United Star Ship or something like that but the america-centric view in Star Trek is one of the big problems i have with it but then it's made for an american audience....

I'm looking forward to Darksiders as i already know the Saints Row games (and i enjoyed them)

Alright folks - i'm already in the train to university. I'll be off for the moment. See you all later *big hugs and waves* :)

For the same reason the prince of wales was chosen to play an opiate addicted cynical doctor.

Because San Francisco is right next to Comic-Con.

Isn't Henry V the one in which he kicks french arse?

Wink wink, nudge nudge.

I suffe... I mean, watched the Laurence Olivier movie through english class back in the day. I remember the "Tennis balls my lord" line and little else.

That'd be the 3.3 game. Or maybe 3.2 if you start counting from zero, carry the one, do I have to take my socks off for this? I'm confused. Whatever, it's the San Andreas game.

Anyway they all use the same engine (with improvements, but still the same base). So they're all extensions of GTA III.

And never. Rockstar even have their own EULA to which you have to approve to before installing them on steam.

Also GTA IV has securom on top of that.

I think people give me too much credit, I really don't do much, but I did have fun doing some Shakespeare with them. They did a few of the parts, but they left most of it to me and my partner and some of the nurses we talked into helping.

My nephew can say a few words, but mostly he also has his own little baby talk like your Owlet does. I am sure she will be talking properly in no time, hopefully then you two can become even closer and start having lots of fun times together.

*more big hugs for the Owl super mum*

You have to make it American if you want to sell it there. There was no reason at all to remake Broadchurch but they still did.

I mean, where else would they base the Federation, Brussels? That's silly, why put it on a disgusting vegetable?

You're being too modest, as always !! :-) ... I would have loved to hear you, that sounds really cool (and I don't know Shakespeare's work, apart from Romeo & Juliet...)
Yes... she doesn't speak properly yet, but she is very expressive :-D she doesn't need words to make people understand what she wants for the moment... generally !

I don't think I am being modest, many people do what I do, and many people do a lot more, as I said, I just spend a few hours with them now and then and try to put a smile on their face. They found the play all funny at first, but after a while they started to take part and love it. I said they can pick another one of his plays for next time. I just hope it is not Romeo and Juliet, as that is my lest favourite of his plays.

This is the main part of the play we did for them, we did some other scenes as well, but this was their favourite. But keep in mind that this is the shortened movie version, the actual play and the version me and my partner did with them was the full length content. It's easier to watch than the fun length scene, and it's not a bad movie adaptation. It keeps the speaking style, but takes out sentences to keep it short and film length. We spend a lot of time with them just asking questions about the scene and things like that, so we did not get much of the play done, but they enjoyed it.

And this is the scene for your dialogue on the picture. Again, the original scene in the play is longer, as this clip is the shortened version for the movie. The part that I took your dialogue starts at about 1:40 (it has Brian Blessed in it as Exeter).

My nephew tends to get annoyed if he is trying to say something and we don't understand what. But most of the time it's okay, especially as he just points to things he wants.

*more big French hugs for Owl*
