tinyE: There appears to be a specific thread thread I can't see my post in. The embarrassing thing is, by the time I realized it I already posted the same thing 4 or 5 times thinking they just weren't going through. Okay this is Bizarro world. :P
Something similar happened to me as well with this thread here. I posted something and it won't show up. In fact all all posts and replies posted afterwards wouldn't show up. I solved that be changing the post-per-site setting...

Hello. Oh right, this wasn't the fish topic. =P

Man that awesome.

Infact, there seems to be some problems on forum.

Edit: today I seem to be missing words. =)

Doing okay here. Played a few minutes of Transistor, which looks very interesting even though the storytelling gimmick from Bastion has been regurgitated all the way down to the same voice actor doing the talking, tried to finish the video I had paused before going to bed and managed to fall asleep at my desk again in less than ten minutes time.

Sounds like you actually need the desk sleeping :P

So they used the same forumla for Transistor, right?

Well, it's the same frequent narration thing. In Bastion, it was a guy talking as you went like they were telling the story of your adventure, while in Transistor the sword you carry and use is what's talking to you in present time as you check things out.

Is he needed to follow the story? Can you turn him down/off or does that kill all the sound?

The main character doesn't talk, so it's needed for the story to go forward.
But on the bright side, it doesn't seem like the sword is talking about every little unimportant thing like the guy in Bastion would.
It seems that the sword is being treated as a supporting character more than color commentary.

One thing I haven't mentioned is that the combat is all kinds of different from Bastion, and it's pretty cool.
You can fight in real-time, but you can also stop time to plot attacks and movement, then have it all play out at once.
With that, you can do backstabs for extra damage, combos, things like that.

Sounds pretty good so far, maybe they learned not to talk the player to death. :-)
