EndreWhiteMane: Tired from work but OK today.
If you remember rotary phones in actual use GB must be way behind in technology.
I was like 5 when they disappeared for good here.
Or perhaps we are just not technology snobs who must waste all our money on new technology all the time. If it ain't broke, then don't fix it. :-) If you remember rotary phones in actual use GB must be way behind in technology.

I don't recall having one personally, but I have seen and used them, just as I have morse code.

I got nothing from the promo. A few days ago I gifted myself The Witcher 3 after all tomorrow is my birthday.
Sorry for my shameless self promotion.
Wait. You bought the game here and it tried to start Steam?

EndreWhiteMane: When I saw the forums down this morning my first thought was:
"What the hell did DD do now?"
I just ask women if they remember rotary dial telephones.
If not then they're young enough for me. ;)
The forum wasn't working earlier today? Why? "What the hell did DD do now?"

EndreWhiteMane: I got the regular version of Ethan Carter.
1.) It starts the Steam client when I run it.
2.) It runs like crap even though my machine specs are plenty high.
NOT a good buy. :/

EndreWhiteMane: Yes. There are mentions of that in the forums but no answers. I sent in a ticket.
Regardless it runs unplayabley slow.
I read that this is because of some inbuild steam workshop thing. And the developers just gave the game like that here and gog had to work around to even make it work here. That is why it wants to start steam, not everything could removed, but it should run without the client if you close it or have no connection. Regardless it runs unplayabley slow.
At least I think it was this game... but I can't find that post anymore, thanks to the great forum search here ;-)

It was down (see pic.) because of the archiving of the old threads here in the general forum
Yeah true *big cheer up hug*

adaliabooks: Hey everyone
It's looking good too! I tried it briefly last night and will continue to test it. :-) moonshineshadow: At least I think it was this game... but I can't find that post anymore, thanks to the great forum search here ;-)
adaliabooks: Don't worry, I'm working on that ;) Considering all my other stuff runs well I refuse to even touch my drivers! :-)

Hello.
Tried your script. Works flawlessly (for me). Thank you :)
Good decision. I read about the GTA5 optimised Nvidia dirver which decreases the performance of many other games ...

ElTerprise: Maybe. It's one of the best looking games i've seen....so wouldn't be surprising if they messed up the optimisation...
They don't seem to care much anymore for optimisation. Just look at the last new release that was a 2D game that had higher specs than the Witcher 2. BillyMaysFan59: Wasteland 2, tops. Some of the games probably wouldn't "cook" my laptop per se, they just wouldn't run.
That seems to be a popular choice, as I have heard a few people mention and interest in Wasteland 2. LeoLR: I got nothing from the promo. A few days ago I gifted myself The Witcher 3 after all tomorrow is my birthday.

Well then happy birthday for tomorrow! I hope you have a lovely day! Sorry for my shameless self promotion.
moonshineshadow: I decided against. Discount is not big enough to convince me I really need another game ;-)
That's probably for the best, it is bound to have a bigger discount eventually. Who knows, maybe it will have a better deal during the summer sale, so I can gift it to you then. :-) Or they were tired of Endre parading around in his mankini at all hours. :-)

Thanks guys :) It can be a bit slow, and doesn't seem to work at all for really large threads (in fact, I threw in a limit of 400 pages for now as 1000+ seemed to break it) but otherwise it's not bad. The in thread GoG search isn't too bad, but mine does allow you to search usernames too. Working on the general forum search bit now :)
