Started playing that one, but the music started getting annoyingly cacophonous after a bit. Haven't gone back to it since.
Waiting to get in the right mood to start Transistor, since it's supposed to be pretty good across the board.

Sounds like an interesting and rather different game.

Right now I'm debating on Ethan Carter, it's been on and off my wishlist about 10 times now.

I did the same thing recently (skipped Dark Forces to jump right into JK). I actually made a few posts in this thread because Jedi Knight was an amazingly fun ride for me. I was hugely surprised that it was not just a good oldie but a downright fun game I couldn't wait to get back into night in and night out.

Incidently, I fired up Mysteries of the Sith a few nights ago and wasn't too thrilled with it about a level and a third in. The difficulty felt a bit high in a "not fun" sort of way, and especially the second level felt drab, washed out and difficult to navigate.

I read a couple reviews and quite a few of them mentioned the same issues LOL! I might try to play a little more to make a final call, but I think it's one I'll just put aside.

Likewise. At the moment it's off after I read about it being a really short game for the price.

Interesting. Whether or not I will want to play through Mysteries of the Sith, only one way to find out. :P

I was super excited about the premise of Ethan Carter, the gorgeous visuals and the reports of it being a nod to Lovecraft. Then I read reviews that had it listed as insanely short and less of a game, more of a stroll. That was enough to make it a pass for me.

Oh for sure give it a go. I jumped right into it fully excited for more goodness. As it stands I'm a bit bummed I'm going to miss out on the story but if your experience is anything like mine it's pretty easy to tell straight off if you're going to love it or not.

Side note - I haven't played multiplayer in any of them so if that's your bag I can't compare the two games.

At 20 bucks I would pass too, and have a few times. At 8 bucks it may be worth it.
I like just 'strolling' and discovering things sometimes.
Can't for the life of me figure out why websites don't give their users a simple 'notes' page.

That is why the gogwiki was great. I could put all the notes there and people interested in gifting could also read why the games were on the list... And now there will be again the problem of having the correct notes at work and at home and wherever I might need them :P

Perhaps I should just use the gogwiki for the notes like before even without wishlist.

I use Evernote for most of my stuff, it's free and can be used anywhere with or without a client.

Never heard of it. I need to remember it (in four weeks) when I am back home to check it out :D

Now, now, that is why I was a bit reluctant to share such things, as people always jump to the wrong conclusions. At no point did I say that it could have altered the outcome of the battle, I was just mentioning that the British in that part of the world were not as well equipped or manned as elsewhere.


I am not sure, to be honest. If I get the time I will see if I can dig up some of the information I read in one of my books.


It's possible that the mobile users are enjoying the new site, I am not quite the average customer, so just because I do not like it does not mean others won't, they might love it.

One solution could be to keep a text based wishlist on the GOGwiki. You could just manually list the games you like (and keep your notes). That way we would all still be able to see, and you would not have to worry about all this new wishlist stuff?
