ddickinson: I thought there was a way to manually detect the games?

What made you think of that? Are you playing a FPS game at the moment?
No i reinstalled the game and steam had my savegame in the cloud so i had to play that mission again and finally beat it...
Apparently Rebellion messed somethinp up with spawning the enemies if you don't follow the exact route they intended
avatar
Soccorro: yes there is... but even if i pick a game folder directly. it doesn't show up in the list. It only shoiws up after re-installing the game :(
Yeah happened to me with Witcher 1 o.O....

Well it is just a Beta, so hopefully these things will be fixed before the final release.

I love sniper games, it's my favourite role in FPS games. I will always take a (sniper) rifle over a machine gun. But many of the games seem to suffer from re-spawning enemies - according to the reviews, the sniper game on GOG suffers from this.

Ah the agony! I have to reinstall 540 games... I feel like crying!

In that case it's a bit different - there are no enemies if you don't follow the exact route...

But there aren't that many sniper games afaik (I know of Sniper Elite and Sniper: Ghost Warrior) and Sniper Elite is not even a FPS, it's third-person shooter...

Why do you have to install all your games? Why not just the ones you want to play, that way it would be a lot easier and would be less time consuming?

Many of the sniper games are not very good, but some of the older FPS games let you pretty much play as a sniper, such as the better WW2 era call of duty games. I used to love the scoped Enfield rifle with the bolt action loading.

yeah just thought of that after having posted my last answer... But i'm a bit of an perfectionist and there is that feeling of something being incomplete...

ddickinson: Good morning!

I am good, thank you. Just having a nice rest and some lunch before I get back to work.

How are you, have you had a nice day?

And have another quick fact, since you are the main one interested in my silly facts. :-)
...
It's interesting what a well trained army could accomplish against an overwhelming force, but I think the biggest influence in combat was the officers and their tactical choices that made the difference when it came to the battles being wages at the time (and even before WW1). I do enjoy the all the little details of history. :)

Glad you are taking care to take good care of yourself, and your partner too, whilst working as hard as you do.

My day is just beginning with only a couple ours passed, but it is a good morning. It's drizzling a bit outside, overcast and cool, so I'll take a little walk in the rain later, and spaghetti and meat sauce is on the menu for dinner tonight (which I'll start cooking early so I can work on my writing this evening).

Just made my Icewind EE party, complete with a gnome barbarian who uses a two-handed sword named Anklebiter.
If I hadn't decided to harm myself by adding a bard, I would have gone with a female druid who shapeshifts into a werewolf.
I like the thought of the barbarian trying to hit on someone who could literally eat his face if he annoyed her.
Heh! I'm probably going to do a run through of the classic version before the playing the Icewind EE.

The larger text might spoil me a bit too much to play the EE version first.

I know I am not talkative although I usually read several threads here in the forum.
However I definitely need to reduce my reading because my facepalms are starting to hurt. What's wrong with some people?

Oh! And hello everyone!

Hello.

What people are you referring to in particular?

The more random threads you read, the more marked the hand print on your face gets.

Welcome to the internet were stupidity is refined into its purest form.

You guys have been chatty while I killed Kalameet.

I also ate in the meantime.

What the hell...I can't cast spells to raise the dead in Icewind EE because my party's evil.
What a load of bullshit.

I can understand that, I am not the same, but I know many are. I just install what I am playing, then uninstall them when I am finished.

I have not played Sniper Elite. But let me guess, you are playing some American agent saving the world, or doing something single handed that has a big outcome on the war? :-)

I am not quite sure the officers were always that useful during the war. Many officers on all sides seemed unable to adjust to the new style of fighting. For example, one of the first encounters between the British and the Germans ended in a German massacre, as the Germans just charged the line of British, and it was said by the German survivors that it sounded like the British had machine guns, yet it was just the British firing rifles in a disciplined fashion. The Germans were not alone in this, the war was the start of a new era of warfare, and every nation was adjusting to the new fighting styles. Even the Americans, who joined the war many years later, suffered from the adjustment to the fighting style of the First World War. They had a slight advantage, of course, as they had sat and watched as the Allied forces were fighting during the earlier years, so with that, and advice from the Allied nations, this helped the Americans to adjust to the war a little quicker.

I hope you have a nice day, and that the weather will be nice so that you can enjoy your walk.

So only the good guys can raise the dead? That seems quite strange.
