wy4786: Please have a great weekend everyone!
I'll certainly try to. Hope you'll have a great one too!

ElTerprise: Like the music. A bit different but really good :)
avatar
Vnlr: Well, I have often heard that my own choice of music is weird. I listen to a lot of 20th-21st century "classical" music, and dissonance, lack of a clear melody and cacophony are really commonplace these days in most well known works.

That is not exactly what I aim for, but I imagine my thus far finished work comes across as a bit weird or alternative to someone who's not as much into that kind of stuff as I am. By that measure it's rather "easy" listening actually :)
I wouldn't say it's "weird" by your style of composing is unusual because the works thus far doesn't have definitive movements, which is expected by most ears... might be why your associate thought it lacked a "story". :)
Good afternoon everyone .

wy4786: welp.. my total gaming time for the past 3 mths is an impressive 10 hours.
otoh, I have ran 1200km since the start of the year.. finished an average of 2 novels a month.. just finished supernatural season 4.

ah well, maybe I've outgrown this.

thanks for the suggestion tho.
Outgrown video games? Never! heh!

Well, you have plenty of other things to keep you occupied, nonetheless.

Over time, you'll probably either find a new game release that appeals to you, or get a calling to play one of your old favorites again. :)

Vnlr: wy4786, I could offer you a few suggestions for books perhaps?

-the aubrey and maturin series by patrick 'o brian

-Gaunt's ghost by dan abnett

-authors Nelson Demille (John Corey series, charm school,...) and James Clavell (wrote Shogun/Gay yin in particular-stunning books!)

-Neal Stephenson (Diamond age!! Snow Crash!!!)

just a few books. If you want a video game challenge, try kohan or sudden strike perhaps?

And now I'm of for a walk with granddad who paid us a surprise visit this afternoon! :D
Thanks for the recs! Will check them out.

I'm currently reading Dog Stars.. was planning on tackling Horus Heresy or EIsenhorn next.

CarrionCrow: Looking forward to Shadowrun Hong Kong at this point, especially with how much extra stuff they're adding and what they're revamping thanks to the success of the Kickstarter for it.

Got bored with Dragonfall after beating it once, then trying a replay as an adept, never made it to the end of the campaign.
Howdy Crow!

How's the world turning for you lately?

Haven't made it through a first playthrough of Dragonfall yet myself, after downloading it 6 times because of updates and installing it three times (still installed). heh!

Distractions (most new games acquired) keep pulling me in other directions.

Well, hell. Thought I was done with all things Icewind, but then I sat down here with my morning chemicals and reinstalled Icewind 1 EE.

Damn it.

Between that, a full run of Vampire Bloodlines (which is going to be 7 godsdamned runs, including the lameness known as Brujah, Ventrue and especially Toreador playthroughs) and Redemption, a full 7 playthrough run of Dawn of War 2 Retribution, a full 3 playthroughs of Star Wars Empire at War and finally getting into Transistor, I think I know what I'll still be playing when the summer sale gets here.

Good morning. =)

Can't complain too much, aside from games I'll be playing repeatedly in order to wipe them out.
Thinking that a full run of Bloodlines will take longer than the 185 hour shitshow that was Soulstorm, but it's going to be a lot less painful, even when I'm playing as boring clans, so that's good.

I wouldn't recommend an adept, and deckers aren't the greatest either since they focus on hacking and you can get the same utility in regards to unlocking crap and doing stuff by having the NPC decker in your party.
Street samurai and combat mages/shamans have the most options.

I know that feeling. Trying to wipe out things in full series runs, rather than letting bits and pieces fall through the cracks.
Thank the gods, there's nothing in that format that should be worse than the full Anomaly run I did a while back.
Anomaly Defenders would have absolutely overtaken Jack Keane 2 in terms of how long it took to clear from Insomnia if GOG hadn't pulled the plug early.
Hello, again!

I hope you are all doing good?

moonshineshadow: Urgh... you are so unfair. Why should you be able to ninja gift me, while I am gone and can't return the favour? :P
But it's not my fault if the sale happens while you are away. And as for being unfair, is it not unfair that we can't gift you but you can still gift the majority of us? :-)

Also, I found out what game you were talking about, but as you seemed to want to keep it secret, I will not gift you the game, I will let this gifting opportunity Escape me. ;-)

HypersomniacLive: Thanks, I will give it the weekend, and see how things are on Monday. I saw that your shoulder's doing better, that's good to hear.
I hope things improve over the weekend. I told people my shoulder would be fine, but you never seem to believe me. But you of all people show know by now that I am always right. ;-)

avatar
EndreWhiteMane: That's awesome, but who is that dreaming of mankinis? :-)
That would be Moon, of course. She said she loves looking at nice guys wearing a mankini. :-)

Oh my god! The chat is so messed up, SO MESSED UP! I have to scroll all the way up to see new messages... and my own messages appear on the bottom!

Well, currently, I can’t seem to stop playing Kingdom Rush, besides that, I’m just getting finished doing test runs on all the new games I bought this month (bought too many from GoG) but planning to a first time playthrough Metro Last Light.

Plus, trying to get through (about 3/4 through so far) a second playthrough for Borderlands 2, to open up the Ultimate Vault Hunter difficulty mode, and playing through Jedi Academy, for the main focus.

When I get burned out on gaming though, I’ll either go back to Diablo 2, or Starcraft/Broodwar, or take a character through the Mass Effect series, which I never seem to tire of playing these particular games. :)

(Every once in awhile I'll break out the Socom games, or Shadow of Rome or Shadow of the Colossus for the PS2 and dream of them being released on GoG DRM, Free too)...
Good morning everyone.

For the most part I'm glad the old chat messages are back. Still hoping they return some functionalities from the old PM system though.

I've also decided to try and roll with the changes, so to speak. Still don't like how they removed manual sorting and the old shelf look, but you know, some GOGnards have made a good point that functionality is what matters. And hey, I can still download my DRM free games, so that's nice.

On another subject...... COFFEE!

*serves pitcher of iced coffee and thermos of dark roast coffee*

Aye, I usually pick the Street Samurai is the class I picked for both series as my main character. I like the close combat and switching from shotgun to sword play in the Shadow Run games.

As always, your way of describing things, especially your gaming experiences makes me laugh heartily. heh!
