EndreWhiteMane: Morning Ghost. ;)
Morning Endre! :)

I think I'll stay away from Firefox altogether, until a new Barefoot_Essentials update is released for the "new" GoG. heh!

Hype was right, I was spoiled by all the new luxuries... on the bright side, all the "new features" appear to be functioning correctly with IE Explorer...

GhostwriterDoF: Good morning everyone, (and afternoon or evening).

Hope you all are doing well, and better than expected. All is well here, thankfully.

Vnlr: got it worked out. if you go to soundcloud, search in the bar for Vnlr, and just open the list of results, I should be second from above (the pic with the fancy 19th century cavalry officer).

then you should be able to play the tracks. Don't expect roses and sunshine or anything remotely near it though :/
avatar
GhostwriterDoF: Just listened to both tracks, and wow! Serious mood music, good for when I redecorate my cave to look like a crypt, or the aftermath of a 18th century battlefield. :)
Thanks for asking, I'm doing quite fine, and I'm very pleased to hear that you are enjoying yourself as well ;)

And it is a real blessing for my self-confidence that you are all showing appreciation for the music :D
anyone else just experiencing a sense of... dullness?

i was so looking forward to SHADOWRUN: DRAGONFALL DC.. but I just cant seem to get into it..
tried DA2.. was fun for a bit then I just became disinterested..

AgentBirdnest: Morning, Dances on Fire (do I remember correctly?...)

It is a very fine day for this Agent. Glad to hear you are well :-)
Aye, you remembered correctly, and Good morning. :)

And it's good to hear you are having a good day and week!
Must've stayed mostly in this Thread, to keep your spirits up. heh!

Vnlr: That's great to hear, I was starting to worry something might be nagging her (that's a valid expression right)

And thanks. the terra perturbata movement (ravished earth) is the first of my efforts I'm rather content with myself.
Like the music. A bit different but really good :)

Old messages, and a way to message those who are not the "friending" sort, are being restored!
and mercifully, there are no games from the weekend promo tugging at my wallet. (sigh of relief...)

You might be getting a little "burned out" from video games in general.

Perhaps you could use a short break away from games? Maybe you could do some outdoor activities, watch a series of movies (or TV shows), or read a book, and then get back to the games, to get into the game frame of mind again.

Well, I have often heard that my own choice of music is weird. I listen to a lot of 20th-21st century "classical" music, and dissonance, lack of a clear melody and cacophony are really commonplace these days in most well known works.

That is not exactly what I aim for, but I imagine my thus far finished work comes across as a bit weird or alternative to someone who's not as much into that kind of stuff as I am. By that measure it's rather "easy" listening actually :)

Not at the moment, but it happens from time to time. Some times I spend too much time playing games, and my interest will burn out for a while. Or I'll just lose interest because of random mood changes...
Maybe you just got unlucky, and played two games that really are dull. (I have no idea, I've not played them.)
In any case, I think phases of dullness are quite normal. The interest always comes back, at least for me.

Moin!

I read that you were having a little fun with your new job, and balancing the work with University well,
and I'm happy to hear things are going well for you.

It seems most of us are not struggling too much, thankfully, this way we can send out good will and supportive wishes
for those among us who are struggling a bit, with minor and major things.

welp.. my total gaming time for the past 3 mths is an impressive 10 hours.
otoh, I have ran 1200km since the start of the year.. finished an average of 2 novels a month.. just finished supernatural season 4.

ah well, maybe I've outgrown this.

thanks for the suggestion tho.

I wouldn't say weird it was just different than expected - and i haven't listened to much of the newer 'classical' stuff. But then i listen pretty much every kind of music (apart from Hiphop etc.)...

The last of classical music (before listening to your music) was Jean Sibelius: The swan of Tuonela recently...

Edit: and some Camille Saint-Saëns...

Looking forward to Shadowrun Hong Kong at this point, especially with how much extra stuff they're adding and what they're revamping thanks to the success of the Kickstarter for it.

Got bored with Dragonfall after beating it once, then trying a replay as an adept, never made it to the end of the campaign.
wy4786, I could offer you a few suggestions for books perhaps?

-the aubrey and maturin series by patrick 'o brian

-Gaunt's ghost by dan abnett

-authors Nelson Demille (John Corey series, charm school,...) and James Clavell (wrote Shogun/Gay yin in particular-stunning books!)

-Neal Stephenson (Diamond age!! Snow Crash!!!)

just a few books. If you want a video game challenge, try kohan or sudden strike perhaps?

And now I'm of for a walk with granddad who paid us a surprise visit this afternoon! :D
