adaliabooks: Definitely. On the plus side, it does mean I have enough to play to hold out for really big discounts on most things, but it makes purchase guilt even worse as I have so much to play I no longer feel like I 'need' a new game...
Weekend sale is ok, a couple of games on my wishlist but they're still very expensive and not high priority so they can definitely wait.
We'll see what the Summer sale brings, just noticed D:OS is getting an enhanced edition (free upgrade for current owners, which is nice of them) so there might be some deeper discounts on that soon...

ddickinson: The weekend sale is a little meh, IMO. They are good games, but with a very small discount. I do not actually own any games from the promo, which I think is the first time I have not owned at least one.

Do you know what is new in the D:OS enhanced edition? And it's great they are doing it as a free upgrade, rather than ripping off the customers again like many seem to do.

avatar
Soccorro: I'm fine! :D I hope your shoulder is doing good?
avatar
ddickinson: Yep, it's getting better. A few more days and it will be as good as new.

See anything you like form the weekend promo?

avatar
ElTerprise: Volunteering at the hospice is a great thing :)
avatar
ddickinson: It's karaoke and some Shakespeare this week, which should be fun, and the kids are looking forward to it. Hopefully I will not be too exhausted for it all after the weeks work, but I am sure it will be fine.

Anything catch your eye from the sale?
Only ethan carter looks appealing. but i'll have to refrain from getting it. got myself saints row 2 already. :)

Yeah, that's the feeling I get too, decent games but very expensive even on sale.

EIT's link probably has the full details, but from what I could see it was a lot of stuff added for console versions (controller support, split screen co - op) plus some reworking of the game (they mentioned quests being changed)

According to their Kickstarter Page the EE won't be an upgrade. It'll be a seperate game.

Yeah. I'll be interested to see how they'll sell it.. both versions side by side? Discontinue the old one? Or bundle them both together?
Hey everyone, how are you all doing? :)

I missd that earlier: Good Morning :)

Yeah will be interested in that too. But i also means that i should get D:OS before the EE arrives ;)

Doing good here - how are you?

ElTerprise: That should be new in the enhanced Edition. Local Co-op sounds interesting :)

That sounds really good - great stuff for the kids :)

Well i'm interested in some of these games on sale - several of them are on my wishlist but the discount is not big enough imho.
I do not like the sound of "New intuitive user-interface tailored for controllers". It sounds to me like another damn PC developer dumbing down the game for console players. *sighs*

Also, there is no guarantee it will come to GOG, it will probably be just a Steam thing, and then charge extra for it on GOG, most likely as a DLC upgrade.

Nothing for me in the weekend sale, I don't even own one game from the list. :-)

That's understandable. It's not like the game won't be on sale again, and next time it might have a bigger discount.

Yeah, I just read it. I am not keen on the whole redesign for consoles bit, I hate that with PC games. There is also no mention of it coming to GOG. It seems that so many games now are just getting dumbed down for console players.

ddickinson: I don't really remember much about the movie, but it was a nice little cartoon.

My shoulder is doing good, thank you. Still stiff and painful, but getting better.

Anything catch your eye from this weeks promo?

*more hugs*
Good to hear it is better... I hope it keeps getting better, and as quickly as possible.

*looking at the promo* ... Yeah a couple games I've had my eye on, but am not sure about. The discounts aren't quite deep enough for me to bite... Interested in a couple others as well, but my computer isn't quite fast enough to play them.

*more return hugs*

Pretty good, although I unfortunately still have to do some work on my thesis today. :P

But at least the keep the games seperate as they mention on their KS page...

Good morning :)

Yeah, I'm hoping they might do a nice big sale on it before the new version comes out... then again, if they are giving it for free to previous owners, maybe not...
Hey I'm not going to start a depressing mourning thread because I think it would be disrespectful, but how about a little shout out to the late B.B. King.

None of this R.I.P. crap. Let's just dig his music and remember that.

Haha, I suppose I really should change my avatar then. :P *big hug*

Well, I'm leaving for England on Sunday, so until then I'm trying to get some more work on my thesis done, although it's been hard to find the motivation this week.

Well, I've done about 10.000 words and I estimate I have another 6000-7000 to go. So I stil have quite a bit left to do unfortunately. :P
