CarrionCrow: Hmm. This is odd. I remember the second optional fight in Icewind 2 as being much harder, but compared to the first optional one, it was pretty easy.
Perhaps you just were not this masochistic back then and now you wish it would be harder :P

babark: Didn't feel like creating a new thread for it, and sorry if I've not followed the thread (ahem :D) of the conversation here, but I just wanted to share this:
No problem! It is a "Free-For-All" thread after all. Topics change every few minutes, and there are always plenty of different ones happening at once :-)

I'm not too excited about Galaxy, or the recent changes to the website here... but I kinda hope that the client will bring more attention to GOG. Hopefully it will attract more and more publishers, and maybe get more people to care about DRM-free games :-)

Vnlr: No worries Babark :)

Frankly I quit caring about video game industry developments years ago. I haven't purchased a game of steam for many months now (would like to keep it that way), and if I can't get it through gog or amazon I ussually let it rest.

How's the radicalism thread going? Last time I checked it wasn't as much rationaly arguing as simply yelling you're wrong!! you're wrong!! back and forth...It's hard to have a good argument, especially as with different enough opninions it quickly dissolves in flinging dung at each other, unfortunately -_-
Could be the general problem that many people mix up radicalism and extremism which are nowhere near the same thing?
Couldn't help instantly thinking of this one :)

Is it possible that you're now hardened because you mixed up the order of the Icewind Dale 1 Addons ;)

A bit similar here... I stopped following the industry just last year for many different reasons, but I won't bore anyone with that ;-) Haven't bought a game from Steam in 2015. Not trying to make a statement or anything. I just spend all my time on GOG, so that is where I buy my games, too :-)

There is a radicalism thread? o__o ... Jeez, I can imagine how... "radical" that must be ;-p As far as I'm concerned, there is only one thread on GOG ):-|
This may be useful for some:

that's about 80 measures of a secular "requiem" finished, pffff. Getting it to sound just the right kind of bad is hard work, respect to stravinsky.

*hugs all of you, puts on silly sleeping hat and heads of singing heigh-ho, heigh-ho, from gog to bed we go...*

Whoop!
I have to admit, I do use steam, although I don't usually buy games on it (the vast majority of the games I have on there are games I got in bundles that also activate on steam). I of course fully see through all the hassles it causes (like right now I am on somewhat restrictive internet, I think they've blocked some ports, so I can only use steam offline, thus not install any games, activate any games, and only play what I already have installed- something like that would hopefully never happen with gog).
I don't really mind the changes gog is going through, there are the little kinks, but this is a transitional phase, hopefully they'll all be ironed out. And if gog causes more consumers (and therefore producers) to move to the idea of DRM-free, then that can only be a good thing.

As for radicalism....
