ElTerprise: Only the second one? What about Dark Zelda...uhm i mean Darksiders 1? (haven't played any of these)
The first one is essentially 3D Zelda+Devil May Cry/God of War. You'll feel right at home, if you have played any of those (especially a 3D Zelda game).

adaliabooks: They didn't release that on Wii U, so I've never played it.
From what I've heard it's not as acrobatic and quick as the sequel, which is one of things I really enjoyed so I'm not sure how interested in the first one I am (beyond filling out my knowledge of the story)
Okay thank you. I thinka about getting some of those new releases and the Darksiders are definitely interesting...

l0rdtr3k: It's awesome. Played a lot when I was a little lad when it was sub based.
Created a new char and I'm thinking of buying the new XPak.
avatar
ddickinson: I hope you have a lot of fun playing the game, and it's nice that there are still others online who are enjoying the game.

avatar
moonshineshadow: *more hugs* Evening was pretty normal. I was just relaxing, doing nothing special.
avatar
ddickinson: That does not sound too bad, a nice relaxing evening can be great.

I am just having a little fun designing a cover for Fearful's novel, not really what she had in mind, but it's not like it's going to be good enough to actually use, just something for me to pass the time with. I might even put Owl on the cover, continuing her hunt for the stars. :-)
You should try it.

avatar
ElTerprise: *returns hug* well that's a really good question. Maybe Age of Empires which was one of the first i played. (Aside from playing Mario Kart etc. on SNES / N64 at friends as i never had a console as a kid)
Mine is Metal Gear Solid.

That sounds like fun :D
Can't wait to see it and put it to my collection for "maybe useful graphics for owls star game".

I am not really a fan of online multiplayer. Plus I do not have enough free time at the moment to play all the games I already own, let alone adding new ones to the backlog.

Interesting. I bought the Legacy Collection for my PS3 but haven't played it yet (my PS3 mostly collects dust atm)
I just watched on TV what's supposed to be one of the, if not THE masterpiece of national cinematic artistic storytelling.

I found if both naive and simplistic.

Movies were different back in the 1950s.

ddickinson: Good evening, everyone!

I hope you have all been having a nice evening?

*hugs and waves*
And a good evening to you as well.
avatar
l0rdtr3k: Did you know that people still play Everquest 1?
I logged in this afternoon and the servers were packed.
Not surprising. Some old timers still play it. And they still swear it's the best everquest. There is a fair amount of nostalgia tinted goggles there though.

Even more shocking, I hear some people even play text based MUDs, leGasp!
avatar
Grargar: In Red Faction: Guerrilla, you can destroy buildings with a hammer.
The evil universe goatee version of Fix it Felix!
avatar
ddickinson: I did not know. I admit that I had to Google the game, but it must be a fun game if people are still playing it after all these years.
You did not know about Everquest? For shame m'lady, for great shame! That's like claiming ignorance of Ultima or the King's Quest games.

Anyways, it's the game responsible for making MMO addiction a thing.

It won't be anything that good. Fearful's novel is a Sci-Fi book, so the cover is set in space. I am thinking of having Owl in a space ship hunting for more stars. Maybe with Agent close behind. :-)

Good evening!

How has your day been?

The name is familiar, but I just could not picture the game. It's also a game I have never played, so I Googled it to check what game people were talking about.

Why should it not be good for that? It will probably fit right in with all the silly fun we have here, so it surely qualifies :D
avatar
adaliabooks: Also, I can highly recommend Darksiders 2 (if anyone hasn't played it). It's no Zelda, but it's a very passable imitation. Nice world and art style etc. it's a shame it's unlikely they'll ever finish the series (unless Nordic have something in the pipeline)

Darksiders was accused of being derivative, of picking up bits and pieces of other games that were tried and true.

It was also accused of making that patched up Frankestein's monster, work and be genuinely enjoyable.

Doing ok, I guess.

I ain't kidding, it was the game that made MMO addiction a pathology.

Oh dear, more novelists all around, Not just Ghost and Adalia, but Fearful as well?

Publish them somewhere so we can read it.

EDIT: I have a friend who used to be really into Everquest.

He once told me of his travels to the moon to slay the greater gods.

At which point I stopped listening.

I will see how it turns out. I need to speak to Fearful first and find out if she has a title in mind, or maybe the name of the planet.

I have never even played an MMO, so I guess I am safe from the addiction. :-)
