What I'm waiting for is the old PM messages to be restored.

Had some trade keys in there and now they're lost.

EndreWhiteMane: The chat I just had with Billy was from my browser.
Billy is not on my 'friend list' yet.
It does not show in Galaxy and I see no way of chatting with 'non-friends' from there.
Has anyone else tried this?

ElTerprise: Doesn't work in Galaxy. It shows notifications there though...
So at this point you see the notification, can't figure out who is messaging you and finally have to go to a browser.
Yuck.

Well that sucks. Hopefully restore it soon and not soon™...

I wonder what kind of mess the chat will be once (if) all the old messages are returned. The PM system loaded some messages, and hid older messages with a more button, the chat seems to just keep an infinite list.

Exactly :(...but i mostly use the browser anyway...

I had personal contact info for several people so I'm anxious too.
And yes, it was a dumb place for me to leave it. :/

That is not nice.
Luckily I had the one thing that I would need already written down on paper.
But of course I want my discussions back.
Well... woke up at 4:30 this morning, saw the site changes, and read the first six pages of the new account announcement thread. I kind of regret that, honestly; so many people are just raging that it's making me want to avoid the forums in general. (I have my pages set to 50 posts per, so...)

Overall, I think the changes are mostly fine, but then, I've never spent large amounts of time in my account section. I've had lengthy conversations via PM that I'm waiting for them to copy over, but that's about it. Even when I only had a dozen games, I didn't find manual sorting to be useful or user-friendly enough to be worth the time and effort. (I'll happily admit that's because drag-and-drop is something that makes me crazy to deal with even I'm only sorting a few things, let alone hundreds.) The quicker loading is nice, although the pagination and removal/simplification of scripts on the page are undoubtedly why, and I look forward to a "show all games at once" option again, because on those times that I did want to scroll through my collection, I wanted to scroll through ALL of them, thank you. Not super-thrilled about the stacking dropdown menus, but again, a personal preference. (I QA for a site that used that type of menus and I adjusted to them, so.... yeah.)

I have to add that if GOG designed the new account page "for mobile users," as keeps getting stated (assumed?), they failed horribly. The new account page loads games two-wide on my iPhone 6, which means that I'll never look for anything on that page on my phone if I can avoid it. Of course, I already avoid looking at anything on GOG on my phone, aside from the front page and the forums, since the "games" page causes my browser to immediately crash. Every time. -.-

In other game-related news, the husband and I started a new LEGO Marvel Superheroes game last week after getting a second controller. We've already almost caught up to my solo game, since I mostly play it in little fits and spurts. He's made noise about LEGO Star Wars, too - I'm happy to do that one coop, because that means I won't have to suffer through the first three episodes' worth of levels alone. (There are THREE Star Wars movies. THREE, and NO MORE. Until this winter. Maybe. At least we can definitely count on The Force Awakens to be better than the prequels.)

Now that I've thought about it, I'm really, really glad that the LEGO Star Wars games don't have voiceovers. Having to listen to Jar Jar again would be almost suicidally painful.

*welcome hug* Glad that it is working out so nice with the Lego games :-)

*hugs back* Yes indeed! The Marvel one just cracks me up every time I play it because of the voiceovers and the animations, so it's win/win all around. The other half gets a little impatient without things sometimes when they don't work out exactly as he thinks they should right away, but that's okay; we haven't gotten annoyed with each other yet!

ETA: Notifications are working again! O.O For now, anyway. Mine have been non-functional since... Thursday or Friday last week, at least.

That is really good :-) I hope you can have lots of fun with Lego games. I enjoyed them a lot together with my mum.
I forgot to mention: WOOT for Darksiders I & II! Now I just have to find the money for them. I have them on Steam, so not a huge priority, but the release discount is too nice to pass up, I think.

Hello *big hug* You're playing the Complete Saga then i guess because there was an older version called the Original trilogy only covering IV-VI (but afaik the complete Saga is better from a technical standpoint)

The Marvel one of the best of the Lego games imho :)
