The main problem is that the majority will probably adapt to the changes without speaking against them but if GOG decides to go further down the steam route i'm out too -> would join the mini-foum then...

And for example setting up a simple forum like this is easy:

And things we don't like can be changed normally without a big problem :D
I used to have (well, I still do, but we don't go there anymore :D) a personal free forum that we used with friends... very cool (we called it our virtual tavern). We could make it look and work exactly as we wanted. We ruled the whole thing (I, as the administrator... yay, power !! ;-p). No worry about any unexpected and unwanted changes... I loved that... good old time ! :-)

Yep. That is exactly what I am doing with the forum for my guild. It is exactly like we want it to be and since it is on my server nothing can really happen to it :-)

It doesn't really matter to me. I wasn't really attached to the old system so the new one is fine by me. Although I must say that, like you, I don't like that the downloader links are now kind of hidden.
