Do you think there will be many sequels? I often find that many authors now just keep pumping out book after book, just for the sake of a long series. It used to be trilogies, but now I am seeing 7-10 part series, I even say one that was up to 28 on the kindle store. Whatever you do, try not to sacrifice quality for quantify. Unless it makes you super rich, then go for it. :-)

If I could draw I would have offered to make the cover for you, but sadly I have no real drawing skill. I can do image editing, but nothing like what would be needed to create a lovely cover for your book.

Yeah I really enjoyed it. After the bad weather in the last weeks, it was really nice to have some sun. And the new book I choose to read (a real book) was interesting :-)

I do not have Netflix. From what I hear the UK's catalogue is not that impressive. I also do not really watch much television or movies these days. I couldn't even tell you what the latest popular shows are as I am not that up to date with it all.

No. One at most, if that. I don't really like sequels either, mostly because I try to write stories with a clear beginning, middle and end. If I don't know those things before starting out then the story will likely not get finished but just meander off somewhere. Usually I'm done with a particular idea by the time I reach the end of the book. Apparently book series are selling super well though, so it might be a good idea from a financial perspective? My books tend to be on the shorter side anyway, I don't want too much padding. :P

I pretty much started my sub on friday so I'm watching a lot of stuff like Walking Dead,Daredevil,The Last Airbender(the TV series not the atrocious movie),Legend of Korra,Adventure Time,Breaking Bad,Dr Who(why don't you like it?I love the cheesy charm of it and can I say that I love the way you british people speak?) and some movies.

We seem to have had similar weather today. This last week has been mainly heavy rain and strong winds, but on Saturday evening the sun came out and it lasted all of today as well. So me and my partner just had a lovely day in the sun, then ended it by cuddling up and watching the sun set, which is always nice.

What was your new book? I think I will always prefer a real book over a Kindle. The Kindle is nice, and it saves a lot of space having ebooks, but you just can't beat a real paper book. :-)

I know what you mean about GOG, so many things are changing, and not all in a good way. Plus the site seems to be constantly broken these days (for me it keeps getting stuck on loading the page, or the comments box), something that will get worse as more traffic comes to the site.


Sequels are okay, as long as they are needed. The best kind are those where each book could be a stand alone novel in it's own right, but one that can have a sequel if needed and not seem like the author is just making sequels for the sake of it. Did you know that the Lord of the Rings was not supposed to be a trilogy? Tolkien did not like sequels and episodical books, he originally wanted it to be one big book, but the publishers would not allow it.

Do you think you will get a website for your novels, somewhere to provide information, and maybe a place to sell them from as well as the usual online retailers?


I can't really say why I am not keen on Dr Who. As I said, I watch very little television or movies now anyway. In fact, I have not seen any of the shows you have mentioned.

Yep, that's true, I fully agree with you. I knew that about Lord of the Rings, yes. I have an edition with all the books in one and it's a monster. I can sort of see why the publishers wanted to separate them, but at the same time I can understand Tolkien's sentiment as well, as they are very closely connected.

I'm not sure. I have no plans at the moment, but it might be a good idea if I ever push myself to publish multiple books. Should help with the visibility, at least. It all depends on how many books I end up producing that are suitable for publication, though. :P

You could still have a website for a single novel, promoted as your debut novel, then you add more as you write them. You would need to decide whether you would publish your books under a company name, or your own name (or pseudo name). Many smaller authors use their name, as it adds a more personal connection between the reader and the author. But you have time to consider all these things.

I would really like to hear more about your novel and publishing and things, as I am very interested. Perhaps when the site is working for me we can have a better conversation about it all.
