moonshineshadow: True. That is why I try to do such things on Saturdays. So that I can have all Sunday to just be lazy and do nothing because of the muscle pain :D
*big hug* In regards of a game, I think I might go play a bit "Zelda - A Link to the Past", that always cheers me up.

Btw. I had some fun ideas for a cute little "Owls star collection plan" game :D I already stored some stuff on my laptop and installed Visionaire, since I might just go on and start piecing something together during my holdidays :D
But sometimes the muscle stiffness can last for days. :-)

Zelda sounds like a fun game to play to cheer you up.

That sounds like such a cool idea for a game. Maybe Owl will do some nice drawing for you to use in the game. Playing as Owl trying to collect all the stars sounds like a really good adventure game. Be sure to give yourself a cameo as the imprisoned mad scientist forced to work for Owl. :-)

Soccorro: I'm planning my weekend right now. :D It's a rather short list but i don't need much :D
Well I hope you have fun, no matter what you decide to do.

toxicTom: Sound like a good plan :-)
Though I know the problem of looking forward to a nice evening and then being to tired and worn out to enjoy it. Fingers crossed everything goes well.
Thank you. As soon as I get this paperwork completed I will be back outside working my butt off so that I can hopefully be home early, and if need be, take a little nap before my evening.

True. I remember one time when I went rafting for a day, and the drift of the water was really strong. I had trouble lifting my arms for a few days :D But normally the worst is over after the first day.

Yeah this game came up when we were talking about game creation a few days ago. Of course it will be nothing big, just a little bit of fun. I was thinking of making it have two versions where you can choose in the beginning which side you are on :D
I'll see what I can up with and if it would be enough for a small game :P

How are you today, up to anything fun?

My arms have been feeling like that for a few days, but I have to just keep going. It will be fine once I have a nice day's rest, then I will be ready for another long week. But hopefully only a few weeks to go, just as long as something else does not pop up.

Well it sounds like a really nice game. Picking which side sounds great, but would that mean a lot more work? It will be fun to see Owl conquer the world and own all the stars.

Are you all set for Monday, do you have everything ready?

Of course it would mean more work. But at the moment I am just tossing around ideas to see what I can come up with :D

Urgh Monday. I think I might need to have a last look at my paper and at my poster, since deadline for paper is Monday and the poster needs to be printed next week for the conference the week after that. But at least it is only one more week of work and then one week on the conference before I go on my holidays.
People should listen more medi-old Darzamat.

Well it was free for all. so suck it, i'm still angry for telltale fuckers, I mean crappy coders.

Do not forget Owls coffee power-ups. :-)

I hope everything will go so great for you Monday and for your conference. I will be keeping my fingers crossed for you and hoping you will be your wonderful self and I am sure they will see how great your work is. And I especially hope you enjoy your holiday. But I expect at least a week of "goods" when you get back, none of this "okay" stuff for the week you return. :-)
Mornin' folks! Sleepless night thus far, so I'm a bit delirious. I'm not one to sleep much anyway, so sleepless nights usually don't bother me unless they pile up. But my coffee maker broke, so I'm basically useless.
Trying to catch up on this thread, but I keep half-nodding off. It's just past 6am though, so I may as well stay up long enough to make the lady some breakfast before passing out. :)

I hope you're all doing well! If you happen to know of some toilet-wine-styled approach to making coffee, do share. I'm considering putting some in some cheese cloth and letting it steep in boiling water. Desperate times call for desperate measures!

toxicTom: Hello all! *waves from a distance*

Fever is slowly getting better, but my throat is still pretty bad. So better keep you distance.

Being sick really sucks, I didn't feel like reading, TV or the games I had installed, but yesterday finally I found a game that suited my condition pretty well: Long Live the Queen. I had never tried the game before and though I found it very interesting, my expectations weren't very high. But it came as a very nice surprise.
I play the game more as a "choose you own adventure" instead of "trying to win". Make choices, see what happens, see how different ways the princess dies :-). This way it was really a nice entertainment for me with my reduced retentiveness. Slow, no pressure, and just music -while voice-over would have been nice generally, this time I was glad the game doesn't have it. I think listening to the typical "kawaii girl" voice all the time would have given me a headache.
That's the right way to play it, from what I hear, the game has no good ends.

Your princess will invariably die.

Which kind of doubles back all the way into sick sadistic pleasure territoryyy...

Excuse me, I need to update my wishlist.

You can't derail a free-for-all thread, this place is like /b/ but nicer.

A lot nicer in fact.

Not my thing, I don't like the deep growling tones. I'm more into vocalists who don't try to sound as if they'd just escaped from the cenobites. But I like the softer more classical vocals.

Anyways their latest album has reignited the flames of love, giving me a major case on man-crush/nerd love on Blind Guardian I didn't have since Nightfall.

Uhm, no :-)

There are definitely a number of "winning" ends of different quality, where the princess is crowned queen - with varying degrees of how well she and her country is off (married old lecher or young attractive guy, country bankrupt, in war, or prospering). There are a number of walkthroughs found on the internet showing ways through the game, with different outcomes but no death of the princess.

Quiet, don't spoil my fun. I want my psychological anguish/magnicide simulator and you can't take it away from me. Hmmm how many different ways are there for her to be thrown in the dungeons?

Haaa haaa....
