superstande: I love puppies too ! :)

I am afraid I must officially announce that Divinity II is just way too annoying to me, just the last scene but I just wish to find a physical copy of it and burn it so better no. I give up.
avatar
akhliber: I didn't complete Divinity II myself. I had a ton of fun with it, but a little over halfway through I just got caught up in too many other games and just never got back to it. I suppose I will one day, but I've heard the end of the game is disappointing.
Oh yeah, that doesn't sound suprising to me :)
It was such a fun game for the first half, near the end there has been just things that made me wonder, why ruin such a great trip by repetition,,. I suppose Larian has had that tendency before, and for me it worked so well in the Divinity 1. At least there should be a way for player to find clever ways to beat enemies, like in Dark Souls... But this is just endless potion drinking and hiding and then bashing again, and the end scene seems to follow the same style.

Man it's like the last 20 dungeons/caves/sewers/etc. have all been one and the same. Haven't cared one bit who there was and why, just trying to get to the end like some kind of a lab rat :D

edit: whoo-iiee! akhliber you should really pay more attention to what you are doing! Or at least your accidents are just very minor ones!

ZenWan: Hi everyone - it's a little after 6am here, and I've been busy since 4am, my usual productive early morning hours. Of course I turn into a pumpkin at night, so it evens out. :-)

Glad you're having such fun with Sergeant Pupper, akhliber, he sounds like a great little guy. Is that still his name? Editing to say - wow, you sure are accident prone. Hope you recover very soon, until the next one!

Funny that you and superstande should post about not finishing Divinity, I just ran across this article. It seems you're not alone.

http://www.theguardian.com/technology/2015/may/08/pillars-of-eternity-does-it-matter-if-people-dont-finish-games-any-more

Good evening, Crow, no more digital venom, I see, you've used it all up in Icewind. How are your two dead cats progressing, good friends now, are they? Better hope they don't start reproducing in there, or your inventory will fill up even faster ;-)

ElTerprise: Good evening everyone *hugs and waves*
avatar
ZenWan: Yay for your second star! Well deserved. Hope you get many more. :-D
That's always around. Wouldn't be myself without it. =)

The cats are fine. Fortunately, neither of them want to have little dead children of their own, otherwise I'd be using loot money to pay for some back-alley necromancer.

Aside from being busy in general and an extreme early riser, how's your day going?
avatar
CarrionCrow: At the moment, having some coffee, talking a bit and being a bit annoyed that there's apparently a bug in Icewind Dale 2 that makes trolls unkillable while they're under the effect of a paralysis-level Chromatic Orb spell.
The bug must keep them at 1 hit point until the spell wears off.
avatar
Antimateria: Did you also know that there will prob not be Icewind 2 enhanced because it would take an effort?
Yes, I've heard that. Doesn't surprise me. Since Icewind 2 runs on 3rd edition rules, which makes almost every part of the game different from Icewind 1, they'd have to do a lot of work to get their modified engine to run it all properly.

akhliber: Hello! We're having a blast with him. And yep, the name stuck, though we usually just call him Sarge for short. :)
I'm indeed absurdly accident prone, but fortunately it's paired with insanely good luck, at least in regards to cheating death. Not so much with poker or something of the like, but it kicks in when it really counts. :)
Sounds like you've used up more than your 9 lives, better slow down a little and take care! A pat for Sarge, what a great companion he will be for you, perhaps he'll help to keep you on your feet when he is a little older.
Ah, and Good Morning to everyone!
(I tend to not really be aware of much until downing the first black coffee cup contents)

ZenWan: thanks for the article! I may get back to Div2 inspired by this text... maybe after I am veeery relaxed :)

Laughing! Your posts almost always make me laugh out loud - a solid dose of humour makes the venom slide down almost unnoticed, I guess. Your enemies never know what hits them, unless it's a bat. ;-)

All well here, headed for another hot sunny day in paradise, I guess. It's a hard life, but someone's got to live it...

I've probably used up about fifteen cats' worth of lives by now, but I keep bumbling along. Makes life interesting, and I'm never bored, so it's not all bad. And I plan on getting a saddle for Sarge once he's fully grown. Kidding of course, because he won't be fully grown until The Future, and in the future we'll totally have badass exoskeletons. ;)

You're most welcome. I haven't tried the games so I can't comment.

I'm with you on the black coffee, just off to make another pot. :-)

hmmm - I'm never bored either, but I don't have to risk my life for that. Keep Sarge handy - at this rate you'll soon be needing him to guide you around!

Exoskeletons - that would be fun. Can't wait. ;-)

If there wasn't some kind of balance, I'd probably be intensely unpleasant to be around in general. -laughs-

Sounds difficult if you're not a big fan of sunlight.
How's your moving been going?
I just want to add my friend

I have a strange feeling there's not nearly as much venom as you pretend there is. At least not until you get going on Icewind, or MeatBoy, or pigeons, or...... ;-)

True, it is definitely possible to have too much of a good thing, sunlight is one of them. I would love to live in a cool rainy place with forests...

Moving - meh. I am buried in stuff...

Tried to post that ages ago, but the GOGbear or the 500 page, can't recall which - as I've been getting both so often for a while - got in the way.

Gotta go, will try to stop by later.

Spent a few years continually venting it out. Helped to get things to a more manageable level.
And yes, all bets are off when it comes to something that drives me up the wall. -laughs-

That would be my preferred climate as well. Sun gets old after months and months of it at a time.

That is a great clip, I love Carlin. Think I'll put on a video of him while slogging my way through a hundred hook horrors.

Yeah, a lot of people are having that problem, myself included. Multiple things are in the works for GOG at once, it's kicking the crap out of its stability.

Okay, talk with you later on. =)
Let's be happy together.. I bought a blanket. Hopefully it's inviting, otherwise all is lost. Like big bosses arm.
Man it's funny, three years in Finland without proper travelling, I'll give you guys all the forests and rain you need... I'm gonna start saving for a move to somewhere hot and dry right about now. And my wife will probably be cool with that too.
Also feeling better now about games, leveled from 0 to 11 in Tales of Maj'Eyal and this seems to be what the doctor ordered, so to speak :)
Also, Carlin is funny! Thanks for that. Really best way and most worriless way to travel for me is to take a small backbag, you can always buy shit when you get there :p

Really? I didn't even try.. When I actually try to be artistic, oh the pressure!

One must fall 2097. =DDD

Also that theme music in a link I must make it happen..

Ps. How in some pagan gods name I did remembered that year..

Edit: I just hate it when gog gets that forever loading thing when you post.

Edit2: It's insane that jungle strike sounds like witcher theme in the beginnig so much, take nothing of it it must be a coincidense.
