Actually, I expected a sense of fulfillment of some sort at the end.
I didn't get that.
Also the story raises more questions than answers.
Yes there are answers but how and why did things reach to that point? I feel those explanations are necessary, but Schaffer evidently thought otherwise. And it makes it all seem like a cheap McGuffin.
As far as adventure games go, it isn't bad. Just average. The problem is, I don't expect average from Double Fine, I expect sheer brilliance.
But the art is beautiful.
Seems like I need to play the Blackwell games to scratch my adventure games itch.
