gunsynd: Look at all the Night Owls...

CarrionCrow: Hell, it's only 1:45 in the morning....not even on my second or third day awake yet. -laughs-
Good morning. =) How's the day treating you so far?
Bloody Hot,too much Humidity..

adaliabooks: Ooo, I like this. Actually fits really well with one of my systems of magic which is based around a tapestry of Life called the Weave which is basically all the possible pasts, presents and futures woven together.

Stilton: You are taking on WAAAAAAAAY more than I ever would in the writing of a novel. I have absolute respect for you, but...I mean...wow, do you you realize just how much of a beast you're breathing life into there?

'All the possible pasts, presents and futures woven together...'

HEEER-YOOOOOGE.

It makes my crime novel ideas look like TV ads.

I completely admire your vision, I just hope you're young enough to complete it ;-)
Lol. Thank you.

I don't know if it's really as grand as that, but I don't do small... I never have. Why dream at all if you don't dream big?

That's why, alone and unaided, my first project in years and probably my first real project, I've decided to try and make a massively complicated grand strategy game instead of something nice and easy XD

And as for writing, I've always planned on something truly epic. 20+ books spanning the history of a world with intertwined storylines and recurring characters. I wish I could just be content with writing short stories, but I never find that satisfying...

Is world domination on your list of to dos as well? (And I'm not talking about your 20 book all-encompassing uber epic..) ;-)

Lol, not anymore. Too much effort and not worth it ;)

I'd just be happy with a nice house somewhere nice, enough money to live comfortably, and doing things that I love doing.

Yup, shame I'm quite far from achieving it... but working hard at it ;)

Hope so :)

And with that in mind, I should go figure out how to get my map editor finished (not that that means I'll be going anywhere)
Almost done with my first run of Soulstorm. Only eight more to go, woohoo! -groans and curses-

That's a Warhammer game, isn't it? Or have I just embarrassed myself (hope so, I like a bit of embarrassment now and then ;-)).

Combining game making and novel writing seems like a pretty productive idea - plenty of room for cross-pollination, and hopefully a fuller bloom at the end of it. Had to keep the flower motif going there, for some reason...

Lol.

Yeah, I'd love to have created the kind of world that lives on after me and is continued in books and games by others. I can't see any better way than to start myself creating games and books in the setting :)

It is, it's also widely known as the worst expansion (as in really bad) to the altogether, remarkably good series of the original Dawn of War games.

It's also the only one that wasn't developed by relic.

Already been done, started in the 70's with the choose your own adventure books, then picked up by the quirky japanese and ported to the computers with their "visual novel" novel genre.

It's big in japan.

I strike, like a ninja, or an ork kommando, without warning and bid everyone: Good morning Shoggoths and Yithians!

I see something more like Warhammer or D&D, but with more of a balance between the books/stories and the games.

Ahhh, immortality, we're getting to the nitty-gritty now. Goes hand in hand with world domination and a range of related products. Or maybe its just royalties? Nice to provide for your offspring, even if you don't know them yet. Very thoughtful ;-)

No, you were right. It's a Warhammer game....a long, slow, painful, rehashed quasi-sequel of a Warhammer game.
