ElTerprise: In part yes i think and you're welcome :).
Well, my subscription costs slightly less than I would pay to see two movies a month. As I see at least four and sometimes more, I think I get good value for my money, even if not all movies are equally great. And sometimes there are loads of awesome movies at once that I'd normally not be able to afford to go see. :)

ddickinson: But enough of politics, let's talk about something more cheery and happier than politics. Did you say you wanted me to tell you how to bleed an animal before you slaughter it? :-)
avatar
moonshineshadow: :D
If you want you can tell me, but perhaps you should put a warning before since I don't know if everyone could handle it :P
O__O

LaPtiteBete: õ__ô who the heck is... Fearful ?? Did you go to the hairdresser, or something ? n__o
**Big hug back**
I've seen better days, yep... but as DD said, the weekend is near...! :)
How are you ?...
Haha, you could say that. :P I just felt like a change. :) Sorry to hear you're not doing too well, I hope you get a chance to relax over the weekend. I'm doing pretty good, thanks. :)

Okay: Warning, do not read if you are about to have lunch soon. :-)

Well, if you are interested. It's not actually too bad, nothing that should get anyone feeling sick. Seeing it and smelling it is different, but hearing about it is okay.

The normal way is to shock the animal, then cut the throat while the animal is hung upside down, this allows the blood to train out. There are two opinions on how best to do this, one of them being old and the other new, which is slowly becoming more popular. The first is to shock the animal, but keep the heart beating, which helps to pump the blood out (the animal is out cold and does not feel any pain). The second and newer method, is to shock and kill the animal (via cardiac arrest). Some research has indicated that the blood will drain in the same quantity no matter if the heart still beats or not, so some are now just shocking and killing in one go and letting gravity drain the blood. But both are relatively painless for the animal, and both result in a pain free death without effecting the quality of the meat.

You can also use gas, which is often done for chickens, but this is not 100% guaranteed, and sometimes the animals might still be awake or feel pain, but for the most part the risk is acceptable and it is considered a humane method (although others use electrocution as it is more effective).

Glad you're doing good !!
Any plans for your weekend ? (apart from working on your theses, perhaps ?...)

ddickinson: Do you have a favourite Shakespeare play?

I am not sure I have an absolute favourite, but I know that I dislike Romeo and Juliet the most, I just can't stand that one. :-)
I don't really like that one either, I've seen it too often. I don't know, I haven't yet read them all. I kind of like Macbeth, that's a good one. Or should I say "the Scottish play"? :P And I like A Midsummer Night's Dream because I like the fantasy aspect of it. :) To be honest we don't even read that much Shakespeare in my study, it's mostly Chaucer.

Haha, yes, that, and a presentation and translation ... But I'm also going to visit my grandmother tomorrow. I haven't seen her in a while, so it will be good to go.

The 500s?

LaPtiteBete: Hum... sorry about your tiredness... and muscle fatigue... :-\
Glad (and admiring) to see you fine nevertheless...
(No, I'm not really having a nice day at work... just wanna throw all the papers up in the air, yelling some random bad words and go back home... but I won't, I'm too well mannered :-) ...)
**Desperately attempting to wake you up and cheer you up, hug**
With the exception of some when I had some really horrible news, when have you known me to be anything other than fine or better? You will be hard pressed to see a regular "okay" from me. :-)

If you would like, you can pretend to throw you papers in the thread and yell, I am sure we would not mind. You could even yell in French, and I promise not to translate it and see all those naughty words you used. :-)

*big thank you hug, and an extra special hug to help you through your day at work*

Interesting. It is always great to learn about unknown stuff *thank you hug*

I have read them all, at one time or another. I can't say I remember them all, as some I read a long time ago, but most of them are enjoyable, when you take into account their age. Are you enjoying Chaucer? Does that mean you have been reading the Canterbury Tales?

Cool about your grandmother... :-) Hope she's doing well, and that you'll spend a nice day together !...
I wish I still had my grand-mothers too... I miss them... :'-|

I told you it was not too bad. And it's so much better and easier butchering an animal without the blood, as that stuff gets everywhere.

Perhaps in return, someday you will explain how Owl's star catching machine works. :-)

moonshineshadow: That sounds like fun :D
Well the same goes for you, you could use German, and we could promise not to translate it. But that might not work as well, as there are lots of Germans in here who would understand. :-)

Totally right... nevermind... I only use 11,09% of my brain today... >__< and mostly for vital stuff...
Hum... nope... I feel too tired to yell or make wide moves anyway n__o
