moonshineshadow: You were too late, I already had hit refresh and read the message ;-)
But don't worry, I am not offended or something. Like I said, the EU currently is a mess, but I still think the concept is a good one. So while it might probably better for UK to leave the EU, I still hope that they won't and instead manage to increase their influence to balance things better and perhaps get an improvement how things are.
I am usually just worried people would take offence, politics tends to be a topic that causes many hurt feelings. But I am glad you took no offence.
*big hug* I think that the EU could work, and I do not mean to sound arrogant, but they need to let the UK have more influence, not just continue to treat us like outsiders, especially due to us being one of the biggest contributors. They also need to relax the grip they have on nations and allow some independence and individuality. Perhaps they should go back to the trade and less about the legislation, the EU seems to be so corrupt and intent on being a dictator over the people of the EU, forcing blanket laws on everyone that often are not suitable. Depending on who wins the UK election, we are said to be voting on leaving the EU in a few years time, and unless the EU actually starts to play fair with the UK, I think we might end up leaving, as the UK is tired of been treated poorly and getting used by the EU and getting nothing back in return.
