No i don't think so but i heard that the European Commission intends to outlaw Geoblocking - i'm interested what impact that'll have on Netflix. Well i saw that apparently Amazon offers Twin Peaks as stream...

The best thing about Netflix in Germany is that they don't have the rights to show the recent Season of House of Cards...
If Amazon provides European customers with the items Netflix either can't or won't, they'll get that much stronger and Netflix will have to fight harder to compete.

I read that and nearly facepalmed myself silly. That is one of the dumbest things I've heard in a bit.
Netflix makes House of Cards and I was pretty sure they owned all rights to it. So why in the hell are they blocking their own show? That's the whole point of Netflix originals, that you can watch them fully by subscribing.
That is just idiotic.

ZenWan: Been trying to make sense of Galaxy, which I haven't used up until now. It seems that will continue, as they say it's not for Win XP, and this computer (my 'gaming' computer) still has XP loaded. I have a full copy of Windows 7, but have never installed it, as i was told I would lose all my programs and would have to start from scratch. I have hundreds of programs, many were short-term giveaways, others from very old disks, and it's all held together with duct tape and a lot of effort. Didn't want Windows 7 messing it all up.

So here I am, asking. Does anyone know if it works on XP?

I know you won't have time to read back to this post anyway, you are all so busy, so I'll try posting in the other forum when I have time.

There was an official blue post about supporting older systems and all in all, the galaxy client should work on older systems, but they are not guaranteeing it:

Well iirc these streamed are often available only a period of time as i watched some episodes of Twin Peaks on Watchever (another VoD service) before it was removed there.

The first two seasons are available but currently not the third. The problem with it is that they "sold" the rights to SKY Germany before they started Netflix Germany (Lillyhammer is a similar case btw - but there no seasons of it available -.-)

I'm sorry. Ignoring might be a good way :).
It wasn't the best idea to implement the feature only to Galaxy without a corresponding functionality on the site, was it?

Out of curiosity, if someone adds you as a friend, and you ignore/refuse them, do they get a notification telling them you ignored them, or do they just think it's still pending?

Glad to hear your day is going okay. I think once Owl takes over the world I will have a word with her and make her make you have good days all the time and no more okay days. :-)

I am actually struggling a bit today with my work. I have just finished a few hours of heavy work and I am finding that today I have a bit of muscle fatigue, so it's a bit of a challenge. I think these last few weeks are starting to take their toll, but it's not too bad, and I can still get the work done.

It's okay, just being here to chat to is nice, it helps to break up my day (and makes me procrastinate a bit too much, but that's not a problem). I am sure in a few weeks things will be back to normal and I will only have to work my usual 12(ish) hours.

I am just sorting the chickens at the moment, and repairing some of the damage the foxes cause while trying to get to them. Plus a few of the chickens are acting a little odd, so we are monitored them in case they are ill. And there is one chicken that keeps trying to peck me, and I am so tempted to teach it a lesson and just take it home for dinner. :-)
