Why would you need a client for that, you can do that now as well and everyone can read it, not only your friends :P

All in good time.

Besides a good portion of it is built with Qt.

Although I must say that the visual C++ component installation was almost obnoxiously prominent.

Yep. Can't even imagine how much invitations that must be all in all. Makes my problems with the random invites seem small.
