ElTerprise: That's good to hear :).

Good afternoon :)

l0rdtr3k: I can now invite peeps to be friends. Has anyone noticed it?
Yep that has been possible for some hours now. It will add friends in gog galaxy. And probably on the website soon to, here it is just not yet implemented.

It's time to invite people!

avatar
ElTerprise: Yeah. It's part of the galaxy beta and creates phantom-notifications on the site which can only be resolved in Galaxy ;).
That's nice to hear. Hope my invite gets soon.

CarrionCrow: Almost forgot to mention - you suck for saying the phrase "feng shui". The new book for that game just came out, so now I have another item I have to decide whether or not to buy right now.
Seriously? Wow, I'm so out of touch with actual gaming books! We have the first edition of the main book and (I think) the first supplement they published, but I didn't know it was still around.

GhostwriterDoF: I like the one-on-one chat too, for the same reasons, and it is also a nice change of pace for keeping in touch with people. (plus it is easier to talk to one person than having a conversation with three or more at the same time like in the threads) :)
...
avatar
EndreWhiteMane: I've always preferred an 'open forum' where everyone can benefit from the knowledge, humor and such of others.
We have PMs for 'personal' stuff.
I agree chat would be great for 'in-game' stuff.
Indubitably. Most of the time I spend reading through the Forum Threads so much there isn't time to post anything. :)

The in-game chat feature will be handy for all those good old games we can't alt-tab to get to the Forum. heh!

I got your invite :)

I saw it a little while back. They did a Kickstarter, got 185 thousand dollars and their goal was only 8 thousand.
Was looking at DriveThruRPG since I'm apparently wanting to get back into game book collecting, and there it was for sale.
350 pages for 20 dollars, not bad. Read the first one, thought it was interesting, but there's also a Victoriana bundle at Bundle of Holding right now, and that's 30 dollars for 9 books.
Add to that the fact that my game budget money for the time being is just about gone, and that I always get screwed by something high priority showing up just after I spend the last of my coin, and I'm feeling a bit conflicted on what to get.
avatar
penumbren: I saw your install issues, which sucks immensely. I think I might have dodged that particular bullet in that I only downloaded all the standalone installers about two weeks ago (over about four and a half days of near-constant downloading - I'm sure Cox had a fit about us going over our non-enforced "limit," but oh well).

And darn it, Crow, how dare you get huffy about my wanting to be able to speak with you! Some friend you are. :P

That's part of the general hope, and a large part of the current push. (Also, thank you for the immediate laugh!) Since it'd be almost entirely dependent on crowdfunding at this point in time, I'm not holding out a lot of hope for immediate change, but you never know.

I already put in my first wishlist item for Galaxy - let us change the freaking font size! It's coming up at around 8 - 10 point, which is barely doable for extremely-near-sighted-glasses-wearing-me.

avatar
CarrionCrow: 68 hours, 34 minutes spent on Final Fantasy Tactics...-laughs-
avatar
penumbren: Short-timer! :D
It'll be okay. Worst case scenario, I pick away at it, doing it little by little until everything is restored.
The part of the process that I'm finding most annoying is that with the games unbundled, I'm not sure about which series certain games belong to.
But at the same time, I wish I could avoid it all together. I REALLY don't want to spend 55 days downloading stuff for 8 hours a day.

I know, I'm terribly antisocial, it's a bad character flaw. -laughs-

Whenever you've got a link to pass along, feel free to do so here. I'd be willing to take a look, see what you're shooting for.

That sounds familiar. I can see it well enough, but I also have a very large screen and sit very closely to it.

There wasn't anything else for me to do in that game. I unlocked everything, maxed everyone out, found out that Cloud is a sucky Tactics team member and beat the thing.

Well you can only wait , i'm sorry...

I downloaded GalCiv2 from Stardock. They really like it complicated, don't they?

I registered the key at their site, downloaded the installer, and then have to activate the game by entering the key again....*sigh*

You did not miss anything besides lots of gogbears and error sites because of friend stuff being added (at least started to being added). You can see that when you do a mouseover over the avatars of people here. And tons of galaxy talk.
*extra big hugs*
