That's our fault; pretty sure it was an American who thought it up. In fact I went to college with someone from Hawaii and he refused to eat a pizza that didn't have pineapple on it.

Do you ever get the feeling people are trying to tell you things?

My other half just stuck a Post-It note to my face of things I need to do tomorrow. Okay, I'm male, but am I really that forgetful?

ddickinson: Not too bad. I've had both my parents in hospital over the holidays, so that wasn't too good. But things look like they are improving, my father is now home recovering and my mother is doing good, she should be out of the intensive care ward by the weekend, hopefully.
Here's hopes for an improvement for them both, and an easing of pressures on you in the bargain!

Stilton: Eee-damn, that is one cheesy grin. Can you materialize something tasty for Endre, he's snowed in and pining for some kind of pizza deliverance.
You can buy their cheeses through the mail, though they sell out quickly. I've done it a few times, it's fantastic Gouda (they are also the ones that Foxworks sources his holiday nose from).

I've even been to their monastery, it's quite lovely and set in beautiful countryside. I was tempted to say to the mother superior "God damn, you bitches make fucking awesome cheese!", but I didn't want to test her vow of silence.

I've never heard of salmon on a pizza. It sounds as silly as pineapple on a pizza. :-)

My father is doing great, my mother still isn't out of the woods yet, but she has stopped drifting in and out of consciousness and is starting to show some good signs of improving.

My daughter inadvertently referred to them as The Expandables. Ooo, the thought of all that old wrinkled skin being stretched in all directions....

And to join in the age thing, I'll be 54 this year, but my mental age is still hovering around 11 1/2. As Groucho Marx said, 'You're only as old as the woman you feel.' Where did I put my cigar....
