CarrionCrow: If by "interesting", you mean "painfully imbecilic, willfully retarded, utterly selfish, hopelessly idiotic and intensely depressing", I would agree completely.
Also, good morning/afternoon, everyone. =)
ddickinson: I put it in quotes to highlight that people can make their own definition, and yours was quite good. :-)
Good morning, Crow! How are you today?
Laughing myself silly at the moment, despite getting my teeth kicked in repeatedly before I beat a multi-point defense mission that pitted my 6 low level characters against roughly 25 enemies with a time limit included.
I was supposed to defend a bridge. On the way there, the enemies took a bunch of villagers hostage, used them as leverage to keep me from advancing. They sent out one of the villagers to tell me to back off.
The villager begged for mercy, for assistance.
And since I'm playing an evil party, I lit her silly ass up with enough projectiles to make her look like a bloodsoaked porcupine, even before my dark elf fighter chopped the leftovers into mincemeat.
The remaining villagers fared about as well once I stormed the enemy camp. Silly orcs, they mistook me for someone who gave a shit about collateral damage.
After killing all the enemies and pillaging the corpses of the dead, combatant and butchered villager alike, this good-aligned priestess comes up to me and tells me what a pig I am, that they saw me kill the villager and that they'd pay me back.
A bit further down the line, she makes good on her promise, so I get stuck fighting a three-way battle between her, her asshole fighter bodyguard, their pet murder spirit, a pack of orcs and some shapeshifters.
Several attempts later, I manage to kill everyone. Such a pain.
After that, I do the bridge thing, get killed a lot, but finally win. I head back to town to report that I'd won.
I'm expecting a negative welcome. I'm expecting the town to go on the attack immediately.
And what do I get? Everyone singing my praises for keeping their town safe. Guess they didn't hear about my...unconventional....approach to hostage negotiation.
Or, and this might be an even better thought, they straight up didn't care how many people I got killed so long as they didn't have a problem. Such a beautifully accurate way of portraying people in general. -laughing hysterically-
