Oh, good one. Then again, I like Murakami a lot and this was the first book I read from him.
1Q84 can be a bit daunting but I liked it.
Another choice would be "Blind Willow, Sleeping Woman", a collection of short stories which should be easier to read. (I like short stories in general)

Was thinking about needing that game to finish off the series run, chair dozed, woke up, saw that and picked it up as well. Should be interesting to see how their upgrades and additions hold up since the original is still very fresh in my mind for comparison analysis.

Hi Crow :). So do you intend to finish it again? This time as the Enhanced Edition?
Okay. Will keep that in mind :).

Yes, I'm going to. Figure I'll alternate between the EE version of 1 while I continue my run through 2.
Should help to keep both entries from feeling like a slog, and I'm curious to see what all the EE version brings to the table.
From the little I've read, it includes character kits from Baldur's Gate 2. That alone should help to make things a fair bit more interesting than the standard-type classes that are available in the original Icewind 1.
Pretty funny, though. It's been long enough since I played 2 that I needed to skim through the manual to refresh my memory on the different stats since it runs on 3rd edition rules rather than 2nd.
Also, my shitty bard death counter stands at 1 so far, with far more deaths to come, I'm sure. -laughs-

CarrionCrow: Hey there. Happy to hear that your uncle is responding favorably to the anticoagulant, fingers crossed that they continue to improve. =)

Interesting to replay that type of game pretty much immediatly after finishing it. But this time the Add-ons will be in order i guess :P
But i do similar things in EUIV and CKII were my consecutive runs are mostly min-max runs of the previous ones...

But at the same time, it made Heart of Winter a whole lot easier. (Well, that and managing to dredge up some barely remembered fragment that reminded me how to kill the boss before they eviscerated my team.)

CarrionCrow: -laughs- Probably. Trials of the Luremaster wss such a slog doing it at a lower level.

But then you'll have at least another spin on the whole thing this time :). But at the same time, it made Heart of Winter a whole lot easier. (Well, that and managing to dredge up some barely remembered fragment that reminded me how to kill the boss before they eviscerated my team.)
BTW: I actually thought GOG would release another Star Wars Game today but apparently they won't....

Wouldn't be surprised if they loaded up something new during the summer sale, though.

CarrionCrow: They dropped a new one at the beginning of the sale, figuring they won't try to squeeze anything else into that right now.

Yeah but i'm still waiting for the Lego Star Wars games as a backup for my retail versions. Wouldn't be surprised if they loaded up something new during the summer sale, though.

Tried to reduce my wishlist a bit got it to 45 now....which is still a bit much...

Actually i don't differentiate that. But the number might rise again as i'm currently looking through the Activision Promo again to see if i should wishlist and/or get some games of it.
