moonshineshadow: Quite normal. But relaxing :-)
How is your writing going?
The writing is coming along fine. I'm running through the first four chapters adding a few things,
and just about ready to take the Party from Earth to the first world they encounter. :D

GhostwriterDoF: Greetings!
avatar
Grargar: Hello there. Everything's alright?
All is well here in my little corner of the world, I'm happy to say. :)
avatar
tinyE: And don't talk about the Derby!

Mina, Rose, and Eeyore are still pissed at me for telling them they weren't entered.
avatar
Ixamyakxim: LOL that's great. Next time you catch a nice day (like you know, a balmy 37 degrees and only 7 inches of snow on the ground) you should take them out in the yard to host your own. If TV has taught me anything, Eeyore at least should manage with a carrot on a stick in front of him to set the pace.
For real, all three of them were born a few miles from Churchill Downs. XD

Grargar: The Plutonia Experiment has been successful. :)
Currently halfway through the TNT: Evilution.
Wrong order :-)

At least IMO, Plutonia is far superior gameplay-wise. I've beaten them both on Ultra-Violence and Plutonia sometimes was just insane. I didn't have that kind of kicks with TNT. TNT on the other hand had the more impressive eye-candy, using every trick and hack to make the engine look as impressive as possible (in it's day, of course).

Are you playing the original DOS version or a source port?

Grargar: Hello there. Play it on easy, that's my advice. Secrets aren't really that necessary, but having to restart the stage because you run out of lives (yes, you have lives and you can find more in the stages), can be painful.
avatar
adaliabooks: Thanks, I'll keep that in mind too :)
I'm not really much of a completionist when it comes to stuff like that, unless it's an RPG (when for some reason my OCD kicks in and I must unlock and complete everything I can)
Play it on easy is a good idea for most occasions, not just when pressed for time, especially on a first play through too.

I think RPGs have that effect on a lot of us, even more so when the loot is good in the game.

How cool is that! They're even miniature right? (I think I'm remembering that correctly).

EndreWhiteMane: Sorry to hear about your Uncle EIT, hope all goes well.
Thank you, everyone in my family hope so too...

I actually seem to like TNT more so far, as it has new music. We'll see, though.

I'm using GZDoom, but have disabled anything that wasn't existent in the original Doom, like jumps or mouselook. I must say, though, that in some places mouselook would have been very useful (damn chaingunners!).

tinyE: I'm on a C&C binge.
avatar
Grargar: I'm actually thinking of installing Battle Realms one of those days.
Battle Realms is a really interesting game, and visually impressive even today.

If you get a chance, just install it for a test run of the first few levels to get to see
all the details and unique feel the game has.

I did try it a bit in the past and it was interesting how you could turn a simple villager into a swordsman.

I'm kind of jealous - I have a thing for tiny farm animals. Isn't one of them even still a lil' baby to boot (or at least a bit younger)?

They're all around 2 years old. Eeyore is one and a half.

And through different disciplines of training turn your swordsman into other types of units, which
makes you manage your resource gatherers (villagers) a bit differently. If I remember correctly, each
unit has their own individual animations (for combat) too. :)

That sounds promising. Now that I have completed Carmageddon, I might give it a go (assuming I can resist the lure of Carmageddon 2).

On another - more brighter - note. I really liked playing Guild Wars 2 today. And yes i know, that i'm late to the party but the game's really good.
