PS: Regarding Dark Forces: Another problem with the game is that it doesn't support mouse aiming for up and down (remember - that game is between Doom and Duke Nukem 3D, technology-wise). Vertical aiming is most of the time done automatically (feels strange nowadays). However the later levels sometimes have ceiling-mounted turrets, and those are not covered by auto-aim. I don't know if it's because they are different objects (enemies are sprites, while the turrets are polygons). So you have to hit them really spot-on to do damage. Kind of annoying.

Still, back it the day, it was a really good game. Like "Star Wars Doom" with an actual story.

CarrionCrow: Good afternoon/evening, everyone. =)

A nap sounds good. Went shopping instead. Anyone who took a nap is officially more sensible than I am.
avatar
EndreWhiteMane: I chose the nap, but now I have to go shopping. :-)
Howdy Endre!

I've never quite gotten the hang of taking naps, at least during the day...

moonshineshadow: Yep, just a bit undecided what I should do now :D Witcher 2 crashed two times in the last ten minutes so not that motivated anymore.

Ixamyakxim: Watch the Derby! ;)
And don't talk about the Derby!

Mina, Rose, and Eeyore are still pissed at me for telling them they weren't entered.
avatar
Grargar: Sorry to hear that. I hope he gets better.
Thank you :).

Crashes, huh? Well, you could always fire up something easy to get into, like Rogue Legacy.
avatar
moonshineshadow: Huh?
Horse race. I'm actually bummed they gave a terrible view of the horses moving to their gates so I can't get my guesses in :(

It always makes me regret never picking up the Breeder's Cup game. The player could buy, train, breed and raise horses in an effort to get them to win races. Anything like that on GoG?

adaliabooks: Hmmm. Thanks for that info on Dark Forces, I'll probably have to find some way to save state too as I have a snowballs chance in hell of getting even 2 hours together guaranteed play time...
Hey :)
avatar
Grargar: Hello there. Play it on easy, that's my advice. Secrets aren't really that necessary, but having to restart the stage because you run out of lives (yes, you have lives and you can find more in the stages), can be painful.
Thanks, I'll keep that in mind too :)
I'm not really much of a completionist when it comes to stuff like that, unless it's an RPG (when for some reason my OCD kicks in and I must unlock and complete everything I can)

While you might not be able to use up and down mouse aiming, you can still use the keyboard to do so and it really helps.

Hei Endre, how are you doing?

tinyE: And don't talk about the Derby!

LOL that's great. Next time you catch a nice day (like you know, a balmy 37 degrees and only 7 inches of snow on the ground) you should take them out in the yard to host your own. If TV has taught me anything, Eeyore at least should manage with a carrot on a stick in front of him to set the pace.

Grargar: Fine. Alternating between Final Doom and Carmageddon. You?
TNT or Plutonia?
avatar
tinyE: I'm on a C&C binge.
I'm actually thinking of installing Battle Realms one of those days.

With the meds I take it much easier. :/

Sorry to hear about your Uncle EIT, hope all goes well.

The Plutonia Experiment has been successful. :)
Currently halfway through the TNT: Evilution.

toxicTom: But it's annoying :-)
Not too annoying, though. :)
