Oh, I don't know, with enough repetition you can teach cats quite a lot. I use several sounds/signs with my mom's cat to get him to do what I want (although, being a cat, he doesn't always feel like it). I'm always confused when other cats don't respond. :P

Well that is me done for the day. Time to go home for a hot bath, a warm meal, and some lovely time with my partner.

Did you really think that humans were the only one to rape and murder? It happens in the animal kingdom all the time, even with animals people think are cute and loveable. Humans are, after all, just animals themselves, and in spite of our superiority complex we are just the same as any other animal deep down, the same primal urges. :-)

Heh... I know what you mean about other cats not responding. A few neighborhood cats wander around and night and sleep on our porch sometimes. I try to use the same sounds and gestures that I use with my own cat, and often end up quite frustrated :-D
Nah... people like to say that all the time... "Humans are the only species that murder each other" ... I don't know where they get that information (except from their a**, of course :-p)

Come on, horses are lovely animals. Their kicks are easily provoced and can destroy your thorax and cause a huge GI bleeding but they are still lovely :3

Yep, it's definitely not going to work on a cat without training. :) That's pretty amazing about elephants.

And yes, I try to use the same gestures I use on the cat (which we've had for fifteen years) on the dog as well (she's one year old) and she just doesn't get it. I've got the cat trained quite well so I'm stumped every time it doesn't work until I finally realize I haven't actually trained the dog. :P

That is true. Hopefully the summer sale will not start before middle of June and when it starts I hope it has some nice deals, since my luck with the weekend promos is real bad :D
