moonshineshadow: Yeah normally I download the games once I buy them or latest thing I download them in the evening when i bought them at work at the start of a sale :D Now it accumulated to 19 games that need to be downloaded. And yes it takes a lot of hard drive space. I think if I had your number of games I would need a bigger hard drive :P
avatar
CarrionCrow: Maybe, not sure how large your hard drive is.
Let's see....minimize Firefox so I can see my desktop, click on folder size....okay, right now it's at 717 gigs here.
19 games isn't too bad, unless they're all insanely large like Tesla Effect or something.

EndreWhiteMane: Hi folks, how's it goin'?
avatar
CarrionCrow: Hey there. =)
Not bad overall, how's the weekend been treating you?
Whatever triggers my anxiety crap is on the rampage today so it's been hard to hold still for long. Which stinks when it's below zero outside. :/ I think maybe it's calming down a bit now, which is good. You still at that same game? :)
avatar
CarrionCrow: Can't complain here. It's digital masochism wherein I question my own sanity, so it's pretty much my standard day-to-day. -laughs-
Reading a bit, it looks like yours has been a bit average as well. It works, at least nothing bad's come along.
If one's insane, can they tell they're insane?

I think the best way to describe my weekend is uneventful - leaning boring. My Saturday plans were cancelled, and to top that off, I had one of my worst sleeping disorder experiences - not a single moment of sleep during the night from Saturday to Sunday; napped for about an hour around noon today before being waken up by the phone. Now it's past 01:30 and still no sign of Morpheus.
And I broke my bloody corkscrew last night, so I'm off to see if I can open a wine bottle with a broken corkscrew - if you don't hear back from me, I probably managed to kill myself in the process. ;-P

Been there, done that, and it FUCKING SUCKS. I'm sorry you're having to deal with that.
Oh yeah, still the same one. Well, in between that and Shadowgrounds, Shadowgrounds Survivor, and the run of Dragonfall that I still need to finish.

Possibly. Moments of clarity and all that....
I'm sorry to hear about the sleep problems being worse, and for the love of the gods, be careful with the corkscrew! Don't need you in the hospital after the bottle slips and you puncture your hand or something.

Yeah, just been buzzing around the house doing little chores. Can't sit still long enough to play much. Can't take downers because of my heart so what the hell, at least I get housework done this way. ;) Worst part is coffee effects me like meth when I get this way, phooey! No fun at all.

-laughs- At least you're looking at it from a positive angle.
Speaking of, you just reminded me of chores that still need to be done. No desire whatsoever to do them, but there they sit, and no matter how much I curse at them they refuse to go away.
Gotta love winter. Gray, cold, crappy and energy-draining.

LaPtiteBete: Good morning/afternoon/evening everyone !!
Hope your sunday is/was good !

avatar
Stilton: Hi people - remember me?
avatar
LaPtiteBete: Hey, Stillton !!! Happy New Year !!! **Hugs** and welcome back !!
What is your new resolution ? quit smoking, or something ?
I lol'd hard imagining you wearing your duvet ^^

Have a nive day/evening, all !!! :-)
My evening will be quite busy (watching Sherlock Holmes and playing Terraria).
Hi little owl! How was/is your Christmas? Very good, I hope ;-) And a very Happy New Year to you, too!!

My New Year's resolutions are to be as creative as possible (because it makes me feel good) and to end the year feeling fitter than I do now (because it also makes me feel good). I keep telling myself that if I take each of these things in small stages I'll get there, so here goes....

How about you, have you made any unshakable promises to yourself?

I like your TV viewing - I've just watched a Poirot and I have a box of Sherlock Holmes DVDs that are calling to me to watch them. TV channels here aren't great, so a bit of what I like to watch is nice to have close by.

And HUGS back, by the way :-)
Welcome back Sir Stilton! ;)

CarrionCrow: Just got through making lopsided omelets here...
My thoughts are with you. Whenever I try making omelets they end up looking more like vomlets, and they usually taste about the same.
avatar
moonshineshadow: Yeah I am home! Two weeks with my parents were nice but now I am quite happy to be home again :D
Welcome home, moonshine. Yeah, that voice is me - I'm hiding behind your sofa ;-)

Well, all attempts to get the cork out of the bottle with the broken corkscrew failed miserably, had to push it all the way into the bottle to open it; thankfully have plenty of empty bottles (for cooling water in the summer) and poured the wine in one of them. Thankfully no accidents today, though I did manage to cut my thumb the other day trying to free a cork that got stuck in the corkscrew with a knife, got a nice deep cut across the interphalangeal joint. :-)

Want to come and do some chores at my place? ;-P
On a more serious note, sorry to hear about your anxiety, hope it passes soon.

HypersomniacLive: Just a quick hi, hope everyone's having a good weekend.
Just a quick hi back - everything's good here. How are things in the trembling city?

Ah, that's true determination to get alcohol, I know it well ;)

I find a lot of corks in wine are a bit rubbish these days and tend to fall apart rather then come out (that's if wine even has a cork... most of the cheap plonk here has screw caps these days). Nothing a fresh bottle and a bit of muslin can't fix ;)

I usually screw them up in one of three ways - either they stick to the pan, I overload them with filling so they tear when I get to the folding over part, or I use a pan that's the wrong size.
Remembering why I don't do them very often. -laughs-
Stilty! Good to see you again :-)

Good evening, everyone.

Looks like tough times :-(
Hoping things get better for you quickly, Endre.
Hope Morpheus finds you soon, Hyper.

EndreWhiteMane: Hi folks, how's it goin'?
Its goin' good, thanks Endre.

Did you know your name is an anagram of something a lot of people start off with when they're trying to get my attention:

"'Ere, Methane Wind!"

I'm on a high fibre diet, which might have something to do with it...

Sheesh...I'd suggest wine that doesn't come in corked bottles, but I've never tried one of those that didn't taste like rotting grapes mixed with ass, so I couldn't make that suggestion in good conscience. ;)
If nothing else, you walked away with all digits intact and you didn't have to smash the top of the bottle against something hard to get at the liquid in the bottom.
